Child-friendly holidays in France where families
can relax, unwind & sample French living
Welcome
Peyrecaty is our home, we love it and hope you will too! This welcome book is to help you get
acquainted with Peyrecaty and your holiday home. We’ve also put together digital books on the
local area including restaurant recommendations, and one for brochures for local attractions.
LA GRANGE

you like the improvements. Every year we try to do something to each property.

see you at the bar. Any later then we’ll see you Sunday morning.

Canoeing Day
JULY & AUGUST
Every Thursday Steve arranges a canoeing day. It’s a great family day out. You’ll canoe past chateaux,
stunning scenery and beautiful villages. La Dordogne is a shallow, very clean river, with many places along
its bank to pull up your canoe, so you can have a paddle or swim.
We depart Peyrecaty 9:15am going in convoy to Alaine’s canoe company. There’s free parking and Alaine
will take everyone by coach to our starting point, just past La Roque Gageac.
Lunch is at a little bistro on the banks of the river at Beynac. Lunch can be leisurely as it’s only a 40-minute
canoe back to base. Back at Alaine’s when you’ve pulled your canoes out of the water, the river beach is
perfect for swimming and playing in the water.
By law children must be over 5 years old to go canoeing.
Pizza & Barbecue Evening
Every Tuesday at 7pm
We’ll lite the woodfired pizza oven and Kadai barbecues. We’ll also provide plates, cutlery, music
and lights, you just turn up with your food and cook together with the other families
This is a fun evening and a good excuse to get together
We also do our famous ‘cereal box’ game - adults are not excluded!
Kids Pool Party
Kids love the weekly pool party
Day and time varies so keep an eye on the noticeboard in the play barn
Kids Film Night
Every Friday at 7pm
