FERRY
If you’ve been on the beach when the
ferry comes back into port at Cape
May, then you’ve seen the ultimate
of optical illusions. Is the boat going
directly into the dunes? Obviously
not, but it looks damn cool. This year
is the 40th anniversary of what’s
called “The Best Boat Ride in America”.
So drive to the terminal, hop on
board, and take a cruise to see what’s
happening in that great state of Delaware
and take advantage of the
tax-free shopping and primo outlet
stores, like Nike, J.Crew, or Ann
Taylor. Call 800-64-FERRY or check
out www.capemaylewesferry.com.
SALT MARSH SAFARI CRUISE
SURFING
There’s only a couple options for
surfing instruction in the area but
we’re pretty stoked about them. No
matter how old you are, there is
training for you at Ocean Outfitters
in Wildwood Crest. Let instructors
Dean Lyon or Colleen Carusi teach
you how to get up and ride a few
waves. Don’t have a board? Don’t
worry, they have an entire van full
of colorful boards just waiting to get
into the water. 6101 New Jersey Ave.,
Wildwood Crest. 729.7400. www.
