MOREY’S PIERS
You can only give your kids (and
yourselves) so much culture. This is
what makes the double whammy of
Cape May and its northern neighbor,
Wildwood, so great. Six miles
apart you have a Victorian gem of
a place, packed with great restaurants
and wonderful buildings. And
then you have Wildwood, and particularly
the boardwalk and Morey’s
Piers, which is a must-visit on
your trip here. Morey’s Piers’ three
action-packed amusement piers and
waterparks feature a wide variety of
thrill rides, family rides and attractions
– all located on America’s
Boardwalk. With more than 100
rides and attractions, including
seven world-class roller-coasters, a
160-foot high ferris wheel and more
than 30 kiddie rides, there’s something
for everyone. Two beachfront
Raging Waters waterparks feature
water slides, speed slides, endless
winding rivers and cool refreshing
pools, plus two exclusive children’s
play areas, Bonsai Beach and Camp
Kid-Tastrophe. To satisfy your
Boardwalk food cravings, you’ll find
Curley’s fries, funnel cakes, pizza
and full-course dinners with wait
staff at Jumbo’s Seafood Eatery.
The new picnic facility, Rendezvous
Beach, is perfect for corporate picnics,
family reunions and parties.
Morey’s Piers are on the boardwalk
at Spencer, Schellenger and 25th
Avenues, and the Raging Waters
borough, looking at the homes of
Civil War heroes, the goldbeating
factory (what did they beat it with?),
and possible underground railroad
stops with a focus on its agriculture
roots, colonial history, and ghost
stories. The half-hour tour costs $4
per person and benefits the History
Committee of West Cape May. Children
