CABANAS
A favorite with locals, this lively beachfront
bar and restaurant is a must-see
when visiting Cape May. The menu is
Carribbean influenced, specializing in
seafood. There’s the new Tiki Sea’s
Rum and Raw Bar, which features
oysters, steamed and chilled shrimp,
clams, mussels, and fish tacos - and 22
frozen and rum martinis. Cabanas also
happens to be Cape May’s eight-ball
headquareters, with two pool tables.
Every night there’s live music from
DJs and band, including the legendary
Bluebone and the large dance floor is
usually bustling. Serving food all night

CARNEY’S
“If you don’t visit Carney’s, you didn’t
come to Cape May” is what they say at
this popular bar and restaurant situated
on the beachfront. There are two
sides to Carney’s – the Main Room
and the Other Room. Carney’s has a
large, varied menu, with lots of excellent
early bird specials. If you like
to be entertained while you munch,
Carney’s has some of the best party
bands in the tri-state area. They also
have a dance floor so you can rock
out with the best of them. Regular
entertainment includes karaoke night,
Sunday Jam Sessions, and the Hawaiin
Tropic Model Search. The music in
the Other Room is more mellow and
features accomplished jazz musicians.

C-VIEW INN
Has become famous for its Wednesday
Wing Nights, this, the oldest (and
friendliest) tavern in Cape May, is also
a place you need to cross off on your
itinerary. It’s a real tavern atmopshere
here and the munchies are yummy
– perfect for a late-night snack. 1380

UGLY MUG
Cape May’s legendary pub is known
for its Froth-Blowing Championships
& Terrible Tuesdays but it also serves
up a large and excellent menu with
everything from quality seafood (the
flounder is great) to classic pub comfort
foods. Let bartender MaryAnn pour
you a tequila shot to get the night rollin.

BELLA VIDA GARDEN CAFE
Serving breakfast all day is one nice
thing about this West Cape May café.
Another is that they offer a wholesome
aroma AND cater to your needs. All
right, one more good thing is that they
serve delish omelets like Ed’s Back
Bay with crab and cheese and they’re
also open for dinner, too 406 North

BRAD’S BEACHFRONT CAFÉ
This adorable café on Beach Avenue is
a nice spot to stop for a sandwich or a
fresh out of the oven banana muffin,
served warm, while you take in the
excellent views. If you are strapped for
cash, there is a convenient little ATM
inside for you to grab some money. 314

DEPOT MARKET CAFÉ
Locals go to this little café to get food
that’s simple but great. Homemade
dishes are their specialty, with choices
like chicken gorgonzola and sausage
parmesan on the menu. The biggest
seller in summer is usually the chicken
caesar salad. The Depot also claims to
serve the largest stuffed baked potatoes

GEORGE’S PLACE
Fans of this great breakfast place,
behold, George’s now serves dinner
every night except Wednesdays. It’s
still open for breakfast and lunch, so
those hooked on George’s chipped beef,
need not worry, he still makes it every
