CONSTRUCTION

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 came into force in the UK

on April 6th 2015. The regulations set out what people within the Construction Industry

need to do to protect themselves and others from harm.

When working within the Construction Industry you need to sensibly plan any work you are

doing to reduce the risks involved from start to fi nish. You must ensure you have the right

people for the job who understand what they need to do. If there are any risks involved

whilst carrying out the work you must effectively communicate the information to the

relevant people and make sure risks are being properly managed.

In 2016 Build UK introduced a new

colour coding system for safety helmets.

They introduced the system to make it

Easier to identify people on site.
