ΚΑΣ(Σ)ΙΟΣ ΒΕΓΕΤΟΣ one or more persons of the same family. Perhaps some of them refer to EL Ilia, who was also an exegetes. Since the attestations cover such a long period, there must have been at least two exegetae bearing the name Cassius Vegetus. For the person cf. also Zoumbaki, Elis und Olympia, Κ 27.
