ENERGY STAR® certification. Every Insight home
is built to a standard set by the U.S. Department
of Energy known as a ZERH certified home.
Less than 1% of all builders in the country meet

IT ALL STARTED WITH AN
Experiment
What happens when an entrepreneur
with a successful track record in
manufacturing has a home built for
himself? It creates a spark to build
a better house!
Insight Homes founder, Rob Lisle,
was perplexed by the fact that while
there were so many modern building
techniques and materials available,
they were being ignored by most
builders. Could it be cost, difficulty
to implement, or just plain lack of
desire? To learn why, he started
an experiment:
Build 36 houses, in groups of
three, to maximize energy
efficiency, structural integrity,
air quality and build time.
The result was that each group of
three homes improved upon the
performance of the previous group.
Even before completion, Rob received
recognition from the Department of
Energy for building a home significantly
more efficient than specified by
ENERGY STAR® guidelines. Innovation
didn’t stop at energy savings – in fact,
it continues every day at Insight Homes.
Today, Insight builds a home that far
exceeds its peers. To this day, no other
area builder can match the performance,
longevity, comfort, or cost of ownership
provided by an Insight Home.

DID YOU KNOW?
The EPA states that indoor air quality has concentrations
of some pollutants that are often 2 to 5 times higher
than typical outdoor concentrations.
Typical HVAC and vacuum systems allow up to 99% of
the bad particles we breathe to pass through the bag
and filter, right back into the air. Our outdoor exhausting
central vacuum and MERV-13 HVAC filter systems
eliminate these particles.
“My name is Kylie. I was born four months
early and only weighed 1 pound, 8 ounces.
I needed to use an oxygen tank for the first
year of my life. I spent 2 to 3 months a year
in the hospital with breathing problems
until I was five years old. I didn’t get to
grow up like other kids. I couldn’t run.
I couldn’t play sports. Sometimes it was
just hard to breathe.
In 2008, we moved into our new Insight
Home. Since then, my life has changed.
I haven’t been to the hospital. I don’t take
any medication. I can play soccer, go ice
skating and play flute in the school band.
These are things that I couldn’t do before.
My mom says it helps that the air is a lot
cleaner in our Insight Home.”
