Consumers buy what’s in front of them. Our job as PR practitioners is to
serve our clients with tools and strategies that help raise more awareness
of their brands, products and services through media relations and
compelling storytelling. Publicists are in the business of effectively bridging
the gap between consumers or end-users, and the government entities,
corporate organisations and entrepreneurial ventures that service their
needs through the provision of goods and services. We seek to showcase
the best of what the latter group (the government entities, entrepreneurs
and consumer brands) is offering, with the aim to raise better awareness
of who they are, their values, what they do or produce to solve a problem.
PR is about working with journalists in figuring out what would make a
good story, relying on having fostered great relationships with critical
stakeholders aside from the media fraternity to get a good word out.
