The Model 6000 Base Mount Glazing profile is an easy to install solution ideal for

domestic applications and for areas of low pedestrian traffic.

Our newest addition to our glazing channel profiles. Recommended for use where the fixing

points need pre-installing on roofing systems, such as on membrane & waterproof roofs.

The advanced U-profile channel is the big challenger of all aluminium profiles and still has

considerable installation advantages. The mounting distances have been increased and also

you can use adjustable bolt anchors. Thus, the product is not only cheaper and faster in the

assembly, but the loading capabilities are greatly improved.

It can be used indoors and outdoors. Withstanding linear load of 0.36kN for internal use with

thinner glass thickness or 0.74 kN for external use when used with the thicker ranges of glass.

Suitable for glass between 12 mm and 21.52mm.

Ideal for concealed installations. The solid base mount design is a simple option for structural

frameless balustrade applications. Suitable for internal and external installs, with options that

include corner profiles, end caps and drainage spacers.

Withstanding linear load of more than 0.74 kN more than suitable for external use at heights

for domestic applications. The system can accommodate glass thicknesses between 12 mm

and 21.52 mm.

Tested to British Standard 6180. You have at the assurance that you will have a quality

The Model 6011 Side Mount Glazing profile an intelligent solution for simple

installations without screed, onto steel and concrete.

Integrated multifunctional sophisticated chamber for enabling larger drilling distances. Comes

with optional top cover facia’s that discretely hide the fixing holes in the channel profile, or

plug the rising holes with the simple click in caps.

The profile can be used both in interior and exterior applications. Withstanding linear load of

0.74 kN ideal for external use at height for domestic applications. Suitable for glass

DISCRIPTION


to the edge of your balcony, with the assurance of your fixing is over 75mm from the

edge of the platform.

Ideal product when installing to the edge of a concrete or masonry platform and keeping the

required fixing 75mm from the platform edge. This also gives the added advance of gaining

more space on your balcony deck. It’s design also lends to install under screed allowing the

fittings to be hidden while raising the platform level to the top of the channel profile.

Use indoors and outdoors. Linear load of over 0.74 kN are achievable. Suitable for glass

brands between 12 mm and 21.52 mm.

The Model 4010 Base Mount Glazing profile is designed to top mount and support glass

panels including privacy screens and wind shields.

The modified U-profile channel design to a “T” Shaped channel offers greater stability of glass

panels especially taller glass requirements such as privacy screens or wind shields / wind

breaks. Also suitable for internal use as room partitions.

With railing loadings of 1.5kN, balustrade heights of unto 1297mm are possible as a fall

protection, or applications without fall protection 2645mm panels can be supported.

Handrail parts for use with frameless glass balustrade solutions. These slotted rails and

fittings are ideal for use with our range on frameless balustrade solutions.

Designed with ease of use in mind, choose a handrail profile to meet your project design

needs, choose the correct gasket set to match the glass thickness being used. All our railing

systems and components are made from the highest quality 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel, to

match the quality, strength and durability of our Mini Post and Aluminium Glazing Channel

profiles.

GLASS- CHOOSE YOUR BEST OPTIONS

Glass thicknesses and sizes are normally dictated by the balustrade design. Our team at

Elite Balustrade Systems will recommend the best specification of glass to meet your

needs as well as meeting building control requirements.

The style of glass can add and change the look and feel of a balustrade design, but what

options do you have.

GLASS THICKNESS: The thickness depends on your application and if you're using a handrail

or not. If your looking for a handrail free design a laminated toughened glass is needed. If

using a handrail on the design the glass only needs the use of toughened glass.

Glass thickness the glazing channel designs can accept are: 12mm Toughened, 13.5

Laminated, 15mm Toughened, 17.5mm Laminated, 19mm Toughened and 21.5mm laminated.

For domestic use we recommend 15mm glass with a handrail or 17.5mm glass without a

handrail. Thicker use of glass will be your personal choice.

GLASS COLOUR / OPAQUE: Some glass products can be tinted but these are not always

available for all thicknesses. Coloured laminated glass is a usual requirement when used with

our glazing channel solutions. Popular tint colours include: Bronze, Grey, Green and Blue.

If using glass with LED lights such as in the handrail or channel, please request Optiwhite (low

iron) glass. LED lighting shows imperfections in the glass normally invisible in normal daylight.

Using low iron Optiwhite enables the higher optical qualities of the glass to look fantastic when

lit with artificial light within the body off the glass.

If you're looking for privacy, translucent or opaque glass may be your answer. The glass can be

given a frosted look which allows light to pass through but offering privacy. This can be

achieved by applying a white painted finish to one side of the glass (total obscurity), be

sandblasted or chemically etched to defuse the light and provide privacy. Speak to our sales

team for your options suitable for your project.
