The Elite Vista Glass Juliet Balconies are designed to work in various ways.
Being extremely versatile, this Juliet Balcony system is ideal for a stylish modern uninterrupted
look. The simple but strong design allows you to create a safe glass safety barrier for your
raised opening.
A tested solution that is designed to meet all domestic planning and building control
requirements and loadings. Based on three principle designs the final look and finish of the
most suitable design can be customised to your needs. Glass thicknesses between 12mm and
17.5mm can be accommodated. With a choice of rail finish between a rectangular profile rail
or an oval style rail, will create you larger choice on the final finish.
High Grade Stainless Steel Components, Duplex 2205
All components are manufactured from Marine Grade 2205 Duplex stainless steel which offers
superior corrosion resistance in coastal locations, or in areas with high chloride, humidity and
pollution levels. This superior grade of stainless steel also provides a high strength solution
due to the strong tensile properties of the steel alloy. This makes it an ideal solution for a
discrete but strong glass support component designs.
One great advantage of these designs is that no holes are required in the glass, making the
installation process easier while saving time and the need for specialised skills or tools. The
whole system is designed for easy self-install for competent DIYers and trades people alike.

Our glass clamp free design uses our strong grade 2205 duplex stainless steel slotted rails
and support brackets to create a secure Juliet balcony design. The unique design of glass and
rail support brackets support panes of 12mm laminated toughened glass, for openings up to
1900mm in width. The high grade 2205 Duplex stainless steel used in the rails and brackets
are ideal to use in all environmental conditions including coastal areas.
The glass requires no holes, allowing for a more flexible fit and easy to install solution,
as compared to similar frameless Juliet balconies on the market.

Choose your closest maximum opening / minimum fixing centre requirements
Available in rectangular (40mm x 30mm) profile
rails or in oval (60mm x 30mm) rails.
Set opening size designs available for a cost saving
off the shelf solutions. Openings sizes available
include : 1000mm, 1300mm, 1600mm & 1900mm.
For larger or bespoke requirements we can offer a
full design service to meet your design needs. We
can work with your opening sizes and available
fixing centre measurements.
The standoff designs allow the glass to be bottom
and side supported with or without a handrail. We
suggest fixing centres 100mm from the edge of the
opening but we can be flexible with your design.
TOP RAIL - STANDOFF DESIGNS - RECTANGULAR & OVAL RAIL DESIGNS

The design stand-off’s the glass 80mm from the
wall / fixing point.
This 80mm standoff allows to keep the design wit
the permitted safety rail gaps to less than 99mm,
preventing the accidental trapping of children of
body parts.
The 80mm standoff also helps to avoid most drip
sills on door opening systems, and door handles
designs.
All systems will need to be fixed with the upper edge
of the Juliet rail or glass to be at least 1100mm high
from the door threshold base. This is a building
standard requirement and any lower fixes will have
to be incorporated into our designs.
FRAMELESS STANDOFF DESIGNS - NO HANDRAILS

Single panel designs and no-handrails needs
When looking at handrail free designs the size of the
opening is restricted by the size of a single panel.
We recommend that no-handrail designs are
restricted to opening of 1300mm or less.

GLASS- CHOOSE YOUR BEST OPTIONS
Glass thicknesses and sizes are normally dictated by the balustrade design. Our team at
Elite Balustrade Systems will recommend the best specification of glass to meet your
needs as well as meeting building control requirements.
The style of glass can add and change the look and feel of a balustrade design, but what
options do you have.
GLASS THICKNESS: The thickness depends on your application and if you're using a handrail
or not. If your looking for a handrail free design a laminated toughened glass is needed. If
using a handrail on the design the glass only needs the use of toughened glass.
Glass thickness the Elite Vista designs start from 12mm Toughened, with 13.5 Laminated glass
used for frameless designs. Despite this 15mm Toughened & 17.5mm Laminated glass can be
specified fo add additional strength to the design if needed. Thicker use of glass will be your
personal choice.
GLASS COLOUR / OPAQUE: Some glass products can be tinted but these are not always
available for all thicknesses. Coloured laminated glass is a usual requirement when used with
our glazing channel solutions. Popular tint colours include: Bronze, Grey, Green and Blue.
If using glass with LED lights such as in the handrail or channel, please request Optiwhite (low
iron) glass. LED lighting shows imperfections in the glass normally invisible in normal daylight.
Using low iron Optiwhite enables the higher optical qualities of the glass to look fantastic when
lit with artificial light within the body off the glass.
If you're looking for privacy, translucent or opaque glass may be your answer. The glass can be
given a frosted look which allows light to pass through but offering privacy. This can be
achieved by applying a white painted finish to one side of the glass (total obscurity), be
sandblasted or chemically etched to defuse the light and provide privacy. Speak to our sales

ELITE JULIET HANDRAIL PROFILES
The handrail profiles used for the Elite Vista Range of Juliets are slotted that allow the
whole edge of the glass Top or Bottom to be supported.
Designed with ease of use in mind, choose a handrail profile to meet your project design
needs, and we provide the correct gasket set to match the glass thickness being used. All our
railing systems and components are made from the highest quality 2205 Duplex Stainless
Steel, to match the quality, strength and durability of our Mini Post and Aluminium Glazing
Channel profiles.
