The 90m long special service workboat vessel, the Stemat Spirit of Stemat Marine Services, has
high accuracy due to its high-tech Dynamic Positioning System. Because of the ship’s low draft, it
can reach far up the beach, at which they can perform onshore cabling. The Stemat Spirit makes
use of a so called Hi-plow technique through which a cable can be buried deeper, for the safe
laying of the cable.
The Stemat Spirit was used in several wind farms in the United Kingdom. An example of this was
the Walney Wind Farm, consisting of two parts, Walney 1 + 2. The Stemat Spirit has provided both
parts with cables.
TTT supplied an integrated Vingtor Marine ACM and SPA system for the Stemat Spirit. These
systems combined provide internal communication and distribution of public address and general
alarm. TTT engineers have been on board several times to adapt the configuration of the system
to the specific requirements for the job to which the ship shortly thereafter would start.
