There’s a buzz in the air at Shears of Faith. It’s not
the noisy sound of mother nature’s creatures, it’s
the ethereal edge of happiness and calm comingling.
When Shears of Faith founders Whitney Smith and Joe Ardagna
started this cozy hair salon on Federal Highway it
was a new era for both of them. Their previous center of
gravity for salon excellence was in Pineapple Grove.
Their defection to a new neighborhood a few years ago was a
quiet goodbye and an infectious hello to their new environment.
Clients seem to be very happy with this serene space that binds
beauty and balance.
“I moved to Maryland and came back to Florida to have Joe do my
hair every five weeks. He does beautiful work coloring, highlighting,
and adding hair extensions. You can’t come here and not laugh
and have a good time. Everyone is so special,” said Susan.
That is exactly the way Whitney planned this shop of faith and
friendship. “I thank God every day for giving me the opportunity
to open Shears of Faith and have the talent to care for others. Since
we opened here God has continued to impact my life and the lives
of others. I’m so thankful for the talent he has provided with our
stylists and associates. What a blessing it is for me to walk through
our doors and have the sense of peace that this is exactly what God
has called me to do!”
Whitney is revered for her talent and kind nature. Those around
her are astounded by her innate ability to turn ordinary people
into extraordinary beauties. When Kristen Spengler was planning
her 50th Birthday party her hair stylist of 27 years was unavailable.
Spengler turned to Whitney for a 20s flapper hairstyle, and
