weird – I think

Just Leave
me alone.
It all got too much for me. I was so
afraid and stressed. I remember one
day shortly after being taken into
care that I broke down in school. I
sat under a desk and cried for hours
before anyone could calm me down.
I had no friends, I kept to
myself so I didn’t have to let
anyone see how worried I
was or to have to admit to
anyone that I was in care.
It was all about
self-preservation,
protecting myself.
