As of press time Monday, March 23, the total deaths in the state related to the illness were nine. Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 1,049 cases in Illinois, 21 of which have been reported in Will County. Cases have occurred in ages 9 to 99. Will County Executive Larry Walsh on March 16 issued a Proclamation of a Disaster for Will County via email in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak across the county.
