To follow Christ according to the teachings of the Gospel is
the supreme rule of our life.
Add: Christ, priest and victim of reconciliation, is the rule •••
The sentence is an aphorism which while it might mean everything
also means nothing in particular. It is a good "catch-all".
It might be dropped completely without much harm to entire text.
A person cannot rightly be called a "rule" of life - perhaps his
word, his will, the Gospel .••
Perhaps the word Christ could be replaced throughout the text
by the word Jesus - which I believe makes t he rel ationship
with him more personal.

2. Through baptism we participate in the mystery of Christ's
death and resurrection; in response to His call we want to
imitate the chaste, poor and obedient Christ by freely con­
=ecrating our person, our actions and our possessions to God
