V renesančnej budove, v ktorej dal v 16. storočí
zriadiť ostrihomský arcibiskup Mikuláš Oláh
bohoslovecký seminár a kolégium, v sedemdesiatych
rokoch Západoslovenské múzeum zriadilo
Múzeum knižnej kultúry. Podstatnú časť
expozície tvoria dejiny Slovenských tlačiarní
a historické tlače zo 16. až 20. storočia. Iná
expozícia mapuje životnú a umeleckú dráhu
známeho sochára Williama Schiffera, rodáka
zo Zvončína.

The West-Slovakian Museum established the
Museum of Book Culture in the 1970s. It was in
a Renaissance building in which the Archbishop
of Esztergom founded a theological seminary
and college in the 16 th century. The main part of
the exhibition focuses on the history of Slovak
printing houses and historical prints from the
16 th to the 20 th century. Another exhibition is
dedicated to the life and artistic career of the
famous sculptor William Schiffer, a native of
Zvončín.
