Kostol Najsvätejšej Trojice

Church of the Holy Trinity

SK

Barokový Kostol Najsvätejšej Trojice pôvodne

postavili trinitári, no od polovice 19. storočia

patril jezuitom. Na hlavnom oltári však napriek

tomu ostal významný obraz zakladateľov

rehole trinitárov Jána z Mathy a Felixa z Valois.

V kostole sú tiež uložené relikvie svätých

košických mučeníkov, ktorých umučili protestanti.

Skutočný rezbársky skvost predstavuje

oltár v bočnej kaplnke svätého Jozefa, ktorú

dostavali v roku 1900.

The Baroque Church of the Holy Trinity was originally

built by the Trinitarians, but it belonged

to Jesuits since the middle of the 19 th century.

Despite the change, the main altar adorns the

painting by the founders of the Trinitarians,

St. John de Matha and St. Felix of Valois. The

relics of two holy martyrs from Košice tortured

by the Protestants are placed in the church.

The impressive altar in a chapel of St. Joseph

built in 1900 is a demonstration of carving art.

Kostol

sv. Jozefa

The Church of St. Joseph

SK

Kostol svätého Jozefa postavili kalvíni

začiatkom 17. storočia. Pri pohľade zvonka

vyzerá atypicky, nakoľko bol postavený

bez veže a je na ňom vidieť výrazné prvky

nemeckej renesancie.

EN

The Church of St. Joseph was built by

the Calvinists at the beginning of the

17 th century. It looks atypically from the

outside, since it was built without a tower

and there are distinctive elements of the

German Renaissance.
