by Kevin Thorn of Stour Valley Apiaries. Bees pollinate<br />

a huge percentage of our flora, plants and essential<br />

crops and are an essential element of our ecosystem.<br />

Wed 17th June: LITTLE WALDINGFIELD HISTORY<br />

SOCIETY at The Parish Room, Church Road, Little<br />

Waldingfield. Miriam Stead ‘Tea for the British - With<br />

a Little Twist of Suffolk’. Growing, exporting, handling<br />

and distributing tea was a large industry in the 18th<br />

and 19th centuries when it became our national drink.<br />

Before then prohibitive tax (120%) meant only the rich<br />

could enjoy it, hence the prevalence of locking tea<br />

caddies.<br />

Thurs 18th June:SUDBURY SOCIETY at the<br />

Assembly Rooms, Town Hall, Sudbury at 7pm. Join<br />

us for a talk by Dr Steven Dunn CBE, CEO of West<br />

Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. He’ll be talking about<br />

healthcare in Suffolk - challenges now and into the<br />

future. An issue that impacts on all of us so please<br />
