TROPICANA HEIGHTS GIANT GACHAPON
9 & 10 JUNE 2018
Klang Valley's first giant Gachapon landed at Tropicana Heights in
Kajang last month. For those who don’t know, Gachapon are a Japanese
phenomenon. Ubiquitously found all over Japan, these colourful coinoperated
capsule machines can dispense surprise gifts at the turn of a dial and
are popular with both kids and adults. Taking the same concept and turning
it up a notch, Tropicana Heights in Kajang was the site of a giant Gachapon
in the shape of a friendly robot. Among the amazing prizes that could be won
included a Mi Band health and fitness tracker, a tablet device and a scooter.
Like a fun fair, guests to Tropicana Heights’ 199-acre urban city could also
help themselves to servings of popcorn, cotton candy and ice cream, adding
to the festivities. Tropicana Heights in Kajang combines convenience with
communal warmth, in the form of modern suburban living within landscaped
surroundings. Prospective buyers of the area’s luxury park view homes and
lakeside condos could also be entered into a draw to win a brand new Toyota.
BRIDGE BUBBLE RUN @ TROPICANA METROPARK SUBANG JAYA
1 JULY 2018
July started out with a bang and lots of bubbles as the mixed development of
Tropicana Metropark became the location for the Bridge Bubble Run. Over
1500 participants clad in colourful tees, some brandishing their own water
guns, gathered at the starting line, geared up to take on the challenge.
Amidst this emerging enclave and self-contained urban setting, an energetic
Zumba warm-up got the crowd raring to go. The 5-kilometre fun run saw
cheerful participants climbing up inflatable walls, sliding down inflatable slides
and hot stepping it through numerous sets of tricky tire steps. The highlight
was the foamy finish when they frolicked near the finish line almost entirely
engulfed in bubbles in the name of good, clean, fun for the whole family.
Participants and their supporters stayed on for the post-run carnival, and took
part in highly anticipated activities, including a lucky draw where winners
took home fantastic prizes including watches, cameras and handphones.
