AWARDS (ASIA PACIFIC) 2018

The Marriott Marquis
Queen’s Park in
Bangkok became
the location of much
celebration when it
hosted The International Property
Awards (Asia Pacific) 2018
presentation dinner in May. The
Awards recognises the finest
of property, architecture and
interior design in the region.
Scrutinised by a judging
committee which comprised of
over 70 global experts,
25 different countries in the
Asia Pacific region – among them
Malaysia, Thailand, Kazakhstan,
China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan,
India, Pakistan, Australia and New
Zealand to name but a handful –
competed for 47 awards across
four categories.
Categories include Architecture,
Interior Design, Development
and Real Estate and encompass
everything from public service
architecture such as hospitals and
municipality buildings to office,
retail and leisure architecture.
Despite some stiff competition,
Tropicana Corporation Berhad
emerged victorious, bagging the
award for Residential High Rise
in the Development category for
Tropicana Residences. This means
it will be entered into the overall
international awards at the end
of the year and compete on a
global stage.
The International Property
Awards also hosted The IPAX
Asia Pacific exhibition at the same
venue. A series of professional
networking events, including
seminars and an exhibition, it
was open to all property-related
companies and suppliers, award
participants and members of
the public.
