W HOTEL TO MAKE MALAYSIA DEBUT
W Hotel Kuala Lumpur, which is part of Marriott International,
is set to open in the city in Q3 of this year. Owned by Tropicana
Corporation Berhad, the opening of W Kuala Lumpur will mark the
brand’s first foray into Malaysia.
In a year of multiple new hotel launches, the launch of W Hotel
is set to be a highly anticipated debut in Malaysia. Christian Metzner
has been appointed as the hotel General Manager.
Set opposite Petronas Twin Towers, W Kuala Lumpur
will feature 150 stylish guest rooms and suites, showcasing the
contemporary, cutting-edge aesthetics of the city. Among the 18
exceptional suites that guests can choose are two WOW suites and
the Extreme WOW Suite, the brand’s lavish take on the traditional
Presidential Suite with a living space of over 520 square metres.
W Kuala Lumpur will feature six chic restaurants and bars.
Stylish Woobar will offer an inventive and bespoke cocktail selection
while the Wet poolside deck bar, which will be backdropped against
Petronas Twin Towers, will offer breathtaking views and infectious
DJ beats. When it comes to dining, Flock will serve as W Kuala
Lumpur’s all-day dining room where casual meets contemporary;
imaginative interpretations of Cantonese cuisine will be served up
at Yen restaurant; and you’ll find fine French cuisine at the elegant
Saint Pierre.
W Kuala Lumpur is also set to make meetings memorable with
over 1,500 square metres of function space, setting the stage for lively
and vivid presentations and the means to take on big conferences,
weddings and product launches.
