In case you’ve been wondering, it was RegionPresident Bill Kruder’s idea to divvy up this columnamongst the four elected Board members, so that eachof us has a chance every quarter to communicate withMaverick Region members. In the past, this spacebelonged to the Region President only, so we all agreedthat it was a great idea to allow the four of us to taketurns sharing our general and/or specific viewpointswith you. So here is my Botschaft (message) to you.Since Maverick Region is in an area that typicallyenjoys warmer weather than much of the rest of thecountry, our events and event series start early in theyear, then take a break in the summer, returning againin the fall. Our very popular Coffee Meets and MonthlySocials of course take place all year round. The monththat just ended featured the year’s first autocross andDrivers’ Education events, as well as a Tech Session,so I hope you were able to check out at least one ofthem. If you didn’t, you can sample more in March: notone but two autocrosses, another Drivers’ Educationweekend, another Tech Session, and the first tour of theyear, to our Alle Mitglieder (All Member) Party. Aprilhas even more in store for us. See our events calendar athttp://mav.pca.org/Calendar/ to see what’s coming up!2 MarchBoard Botschaft: 2020 Events Have Already Started!by Carey Spreen, Region Vice PresidentI would also like to direct your attention to PCA’s annual weeklongcelebration, known as the Porsche Parade, which will be heldthis year near Palm Springs, CA from June 21 through 27. You may have remembered thatGinger put her talents to work when she hand-stitched the Maverick Region Logoquilt that was auctioned off during our Founders Day Party back in 2017. That’sjust one of the many activities they have helped with, and it doesn’t stop there. Tomand Ginger just recently stepped in to run the Rally program as Co-Chairs. Theyhave participated in so many Rallies - they are super-excited and preparing for theEaster Rally coming up in April. Tom and Ginger are great examples of how ourclub stays Fueled By Volunteers.
