February Mavs & Mochas: RAC Performance
by Pat Carmichael
photos provided by Michael Durovick & Bill Middleton
It was a bright and sunny day at RAC Performance, and
more than 130 Porsche cars showed up bright and early
to take advantage. It all made for a wonderful gathering.
There were donuts and coffee, and several of the attendees
brought bags and bags of food for the M&M PCA food
drive. There were also many cars lined up along the curbs
on Skyline Drive from one end to the other. Several of the
cars sported a run up and down the road offering tones of
power everyone recognizes as Porsches, being Porsche . . . .
RAC performance also had quite a lineup and
display of cars inside the building being offered for sale.
There were dozens and dozens of cars inside their main
warehouse showroom, and there were many of the more
elite P-cars of the high performance varieties, especially
one of the new 911 Speedsters in Carmine Red, all in the
front entry showroom behind the glass.
It’s always fun at the RAC performance Mavs &
Mochas. The friendly people show us a good time and
open their doors for us all. It’s always a good Maverick
crowd, and we were real lucky to have great weather. I
can’t wait until the March event, when we’re off to
Poston Gardens in Waxahachie. Everybody take care
and we’ll see y’all there!
