Meet your 2020 Executive Board
by the Executive Board
Bill Kruder, President
Debi and Bill Kruder
How long have you been a member?
We joined in the spring of 1996,
went to a couple things but as we say
life gets in the way and never really
did anything until about four years
ago. After meeting Jim Hirsch, then
Slipstream Editor, he asked me to
serve the club in being the Advertising
Chair. Shortly there after I volunteered
to do a monthly piece that is now
Coffee, Cars and Conversation. Fast
forward and I was asked to run for
President. Long story short, we have
been members now for 24 years.
Occupation?
I’m a 40-year JC Penney Co veteran.
Matter of fact, it’s the only company I
ever worked for and was interviewed
only once in my life in 1973 for a
$2.50 an hour sales associate position
just out of high school starting
college. I’m now retired doing what I
tell friends I do best … nothing.
Family?
Debi and I have three children, two
daughters and a son. Our oldest is
Maggie 28, Carson 24 and our son
Conor is 22.
Interest?
I’m an avid reader of hard cover books,
skiing, and anything Porsche. Fun fact
. . . my books are time capsules. They
contain photos, event tickets, and
anything that might have been going
on in my life while reading!

What do we drive?
We are the proud owners of
four air-cooled cars, each from
a different decade. 1964 356C,
1972 914, 1982 911 SC, and a
1996 993.
Favorite Maverick activity?
Anything involving coffee and
Porsches, we attend just about
every Mavs & Mochas, all
annual socials, as my wife Debi
is the chairperson, an occasional
Happy Hour and many
“impromptus” organized on our
FB page.
Carey Spreen, Vice President
How long have you been a member?
I have been a PCA member for 41
years, since 1979. I have been a
member of five different PCA regions,
but have belonged to Maverick
Region for 25 years.
Occupation?
I’m a television engineer by trade, but
I currently am an Integration Engineer
at a company that creates software
for TV distributors to provide
addressable television advertising.
Family?
I have a daughter Geneva, age 23,
who recently joined the US Navy as
a Cryptology Technician/Interpreter.
She is a Porsche fan too, having
Carey Spreen
competed in several autocrosses.
She has attended 13 Porsche Parades
and hopes to own her own Porsche
someday soon. I met my girlfriend
Sue in 2013 and she has become a
Porsche enthusiast as well, becoming
an avid autocrosser and Parade-goer!
Interests?
I enjoy reading, watching movies,
autocrossing, and road trips, not
necessarily in that order!
What do we drive?
I have a 1982 911SC coupe, a 2004
Boxster S 550 Edition, and a 2008
Cayenne base model. The Cayenne is
the daily driver.
Favorite Maverick activity?
Autocross, Drivers’ Education
(although I have not been able to attend
a DE in awhile), Rally events, and
tours top my list of region activities.
Jennifer Parma, Region Secretary
How long have you been a member?
I bought my 2007 Midnight Blue
Boxster about four years ago, but it
wasn’t until I attended my first Mavs
and Mochas event in 2018 that I finally
made it official and joined the PCA.
Occupation?
I was a paralegal for about 15 or so
years, first in personal injury but then
mostly in the medical malpractice
field. It was a challenge every day
to go to work hearing and seeing
horrific stories, especially when it
involved the death of a child. I made
it my mission to get out of this career
and subsequently I was able to retire
a few years ago.
Family?
I have two daughters, Lauren is 26 and
lives by White Rock Lake. Natalie is
17 and is attending Richland College
and is about to receive her associates
degree. Both girls have made being a
mom very rewarding!
Interest?
I will state the obvious and say I love
