The Cross of Christ is exalted today and draws all creation to

praise the holy passion of him who was lifted high upon it; for

there he slew our mortal foe and brought the dead to life again. In

his compassionate goodness he restored the beauty of our fallen

nature and counted us worthy to be citizens of heaven. Therefore

let us rejoice and glorify his Name for his wonderful

condescension. Amen.
