Fen End Farm
Cottenham, Cambridgeshire
There are yurts, bell-tents and tipis available for glamping just 10
miles from Cambridge at Fen End Farm, near Cottenham. Set on
a small organic farm, this glamp site is in an apple orchard, from
which the farm produces its own organic apple juice.
The 16ft yurt has been handcrafted on the farm from ash poles,
steam bent in the traditional way. Inside there is a groundsheet
with a coir mat carpet and rag rugs over the top, a small chest of
drawers, a battery powered lantern and a wood-burning stove.
The tipis and tents also feature stoves to make things cosy, as
well as double beds to snuggle up in.
The orchard is enclosed all around by a mixed hedge, so it feels
secluded but is also in the heart of the working farm. Facilities
include a communal kitchen, as well as a compost toilet, wash
basin and shower with hot and cold running water.

Lee Wick Farm
St. Osyth, Essex
This stunning glamp-site offers state-of-the-art cabins
and pods, all with toilets, showers and kitchen areas,
plus heating, a fire pit, BBQ and log fired hot tub.
‘Armadillas’ are for two adults and feature under-floor
heating, mood lighting, Bluetooth connectivity and a
TV with DVD player. ‘CargoPods’ are larger and can
each sleep up to two adults, or two adults and two
children per Pod. The kitchen has electric rings, so
you don’t need to cook on the BBQ all of the time.
‘MegaPods’ are slightly larger than Armadillas, and
can sleep up to two adults or a family of four. There
is also a large ‘Lushna Mezzanine’ cabin, which
can sleep three adults or a family of five, and eight
‘Lushna Petites’, for two adults or a family of four.
Finally, there is the ‘Lushna Classic Suite’ and two
‘Lushna Lux Suites’ for adults only. These have king
size beds and are perfect for relaxing, taking in the
wonderful views over the estuary.
