Gallery 1066
Gallery 1066, Hertfordshire’s hidden Gem is nestled in
the Historic Market town of Baldock, located just a hop,
skip and a jump off the train line between London and
Cambridge.
Gallery 1066 is one of Hertfordshire’s leading
independent art galleries and houses an eclectic
portfolio of emerging and acclaimed National and
International artists showcased over two floors of their
contemporary 3,500 sq ft gallery.
The Gallery is owned and run by Hayley Norman for
over 10 years and her beautiful gallery has gone from
strength to strength, known as ‘The Gallery with a
Difference’. Hayley and her team will go the extra mile
to introduce you to new artists from around the world,
finding the right work of art for you.
If you are looking for a relaxed and an enjoyable
experience, whether you are a first time buyer or
connoisseur, Gallery 1066 is where you belong.
On Mother’s Day, 22nd of March, between 3 – 5pm, you
are invited to an International Solo Show by acclaimed
Artist Danielle O’Connor Akiyama, ‘Conversations of
Love’ where Danielle will personally unveil her exquisite
new collections of original paintings and collectable
canvas editions.
Danielle is flying to the UK from Canada to grace the
doors of Gallery 1066, where the entirety of the Gallery
will burst with colour, full of Danielle’s vibrant works,
making it a truly memorable experience this Mother’s
Day.
Danielle creates luminous images that vibrate with life,
energy and colour. Whether she is depicting a riotous
party of flowers or inviting us to enter a radiant new world
of abstraction, her vibrant palette makes her work both
instantly recognisable and utterly irresistible. Her work is
inspired by the unearthly beauty of the hills, the wildness
of the Atlantic coast and the ever- shifting light parade.
Danielle likes to connect with every piece of artwork she
creates, often collecting minerals such as, gold, quartz
and diamond tailings, pounding them to create texture in
her paints and making her works even more original by
“connecting them to the earth”.
The show will commence at 3pm till 5pm, and will be the
perfect after lunch mother’s day experience.
