coaches which offer modern creature comforts, comprehensive 

safety features and are maintained to the highest standards. 

We are a family business who have been serving the local area 

for over 20 years – since 1996. After all these years we know how 

important our team of drivers and office staff are in making your 

holiday the very best it can be. We hope that once you have met

A £40 per person deposit is payable to secure your seat. Your 

balance payment is due 6 weeks before departure. If you are 

booking within 6 weeks of departure full payment is required. 

If your holiday includes Home Collection we will write to you 2 weeks 

before departure to advise your collection time.

We operate a fleet of modern touring 

coaches to offer a high level of comfort 

and incorporate the latest safety 

features. Our coaches are specified to 

provide generous legroom making for 

a comfortable journey. Air conditioning 

is fitted throughout and all vehicles also 

have toilet facilities, comfortable 

reclining seats, armrests, tinted glass and seat belts.

the tours. On these holidays you will 

be collected and returned to your 

home via a taxi organised by us. On these tours we operate a limited 

amount of pick up places ensuring that your holiday will start and end 

efficiently. To qualify for the free Home Collection Service you must live in 

the area from Poole to Lymington and south of Ferndown.

Day 1: After being collected from

7.00am we have comfort stops as

Day 2: A superb day today as we visit 

Alnwick Castle & Gardens. The 

magnificent castle is home to the 

Duke of Northumberland and has a 

fascinating history going back 1000

location for ‘Harry Potter!’ The multi 

award-winning gardens only reopened 

in 2001 but have been 

transformed into an exciting 

contemporary garden with the 

centrepiece being the iconic Grand

Day 3: A wonderful excursion today 

plus we are joined by our excellent 

local guide for an enjoyable 

commentary. Taking in the scenic 

coastline as we head for Lindisfarne – 

Holy Island. Accessible by vehicle by 

tidal causeway, learn of the 

remarkable history of this iconic 

religious destination. We continue to 

the stunning Bamburgh Castle – built 

right on the coast there are stunning 

sea views to enjoy whilst inside there 

is a remarkable collection of artefacts 

exploring the history of the site.

Day 4: After breakfast enjoy time to 

relax or explore Newcastle city centre 

before meeting at the quayside 

where we have included a 3 hour 

cruise on The Tyne. With a live 

commentary as we pass under the

Staying in the luxurious surroundings of this superb 4* hotel in 

the centre of Torquay with a combination of top-notch cuisine, 

stylish décor, nightly entertainment and excellent service. 

Blessed with a balmy climate and famous for its palm trees, it’s easy to 

see why Torquay has attracted visitors since Victorian times. There is 

stunning scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted 

throughout the region. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier 

marina area offer the town a continental atmosphere, with a growing 

selection of eateries to sample. Stroll along the attractive waterfront 

esplanade to the new Abbey Crescent leisure development and enjoy 

a drink overlooking Torbay. It is certainly worth exploring the newly

Day 3: After a Full English Breakfast, 

we depart the hotel around 9.30am 

and start to head home taking the 

picturesque coast road to the popular 

resort of Weymouth. Extended lunch 

stop in the town with time to enjoy 

the town. We continue home arriving 

back to your local drop off point 

around 3.30 to 4.30pm. 

Belgrave Sands Hotel HHHH 

Quite outstanding! The Belgrave Sands has 

proven to be a huge hit with our customers 

occupying an excellent position in the centre 

of Torquay opposite Abbey Gardens. It’s only a 

2 minute walk to the seafront with a 10 minute 

level walk to the town centre. The new Abbey 

Crescent complex is just around the corner where you can enjoy a 

coffee or lunch in one of the restaurants overlooking the Bay. 

The multi million pound refurbishment included new bathrooms, bar 

and public areas. There will be nightly entertainment, a dance floor 

plus you can indulge yourself in the brand new Spa! All rooms will 

have en-suite bathroom, TV, tea/coffee making and hairdryer. In the

The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK’s year-round 

centre of Remembrance; a spiritually uplifting place which 

honours the fallen, recognises service and sacrifice, and 

fosters pride in our country. 

The Arboretum is part of The Royal British Legion family of charities 

and is set in the pleasant Staffordshire countryside between Litchfield 

and Burton-upon-Trent. Visitors enjoy a wide variety of trees, many of 

which have a relevance to the memorials around them. Planting started 

in 1997 and there are already over 50,000 trees planted over the 150 

acre site. Conceived as a living tribute to the war time generations of 

the 20th Century, the Arboretum is a reminder for future generations to 

enjoy. But it is not only the service of soldiers that is recognised as 

there are numerous gardens acknowledging the sacrifice of the civil 

services and many more. Many people have commented that a visit to 

the Arboretum is both reflective and hugely uplifting. We hope that 

you can join us. 

Itinerary: 

Day 1: Departing your local pick-up 

point approximately 9.00am, we shall 

have an extended lunch stop at 

Stratford upon Avon before 

continuing to the hotel. Arriving late 

afternoon with time to relax and 

maybe take a swim before dinner. 


Day 2: After breakfast we make the 

short trip to the National Memorial 

Arboretum where we shall stay until 

3.30pm. There is no admission 

charge, but donations will be 

gratefully accepted. Lunch can be 

taken in the Arbour Restaurant.

The Holiday Inn Birmingham is set in 

7 acres of landscaped grounds and 

offers a very good standard of 

accommodation and facilities. All 

the bedrooms are comfortably 

furnished with en-suite

The Health & Fitness club offers a 

fully equipped gym, 15m swimming

Located in the middle of the Irish Sea, the Isle of Man has 

proven to be a huge hit with our customers. It’s a stunningly 

beautiful island just 33 miles long and 13 miles wide. With a 

wealth of heritage, rugged coastlines, soaring hills and quiet 

beaches, it is not surprising that the Island has attracted 

visitors for many years. 

The famous TT motorcycle races bring hoardes of enthusiasts from all 

over the world for this unique event, but the island also offers those 

seeking a relaxing break a lovely holiday. Each of the main towns have 

their own unique feature, from the iconic water wheel, Lady Isabella, in 

Laxey to the famous kipper curing activities in Peel on the west coast. 

We have included many of the highlights of the islands attractions and 

the services of a local guide, Come along and discover somewhere

Queens Promenade in Douglas 

and enjoys beautiful panoramic 

views over the bay. Extensively 

renovated, the hotel now enjoys

historic nature of the hotel there 

are 9 steps up to the entrance and 

some split levels in the hotel. 

There is a lift to all floors. 

You can relax and enjoy the views

Dinner is served in the stylish

Day 2: We leave the hotel after 

breakfast and head for Heysham to 

board the 2.15pm ferry crossing to 

Douglas. Arriving at 5.45pm and 

heading to our hotel in good time 

for dinner. 

Days 3 to 5: During our time on the 

island we have 2 full day excursions 

discovering many parts of the island 

including a visit to the ‘Lady Isabella’, 

the largest water wheel in the world, 

a memorable train ride on the 

Snaefell Mountain Railway, Peel - 

home of the famous Manx kipper and 

a splendid castle, Castletown 

including entrance to Castle Rushen, 

one of the best medieval castles and 

the Folk Museum at Cregneash. 

Details will be finalised nearer to 

departure but most entrance fees will 

be included in the price of your 

holiday. We also include a free day in 

Douglas for you to relax in the locality 

of the hotel. Plenty to see in the town 

– enjoy the view or maybe visit the 

Manx Museum, take a horse tram

Honfleur has proved to be a very popular destination with our 

customers over the years. 

This pretty port is very special, situated on the mouth of The Seine and 

with a unique charm that has attracted visitors for many years including 

the famous impressionist painters. It’s a lovely destination for a few days 

break away. We stay in the excellent Ibis Styles Hotel which is ideally 

located in the centre of town and offers comfortable accommodation - 

perfect for exploring the town. We allow plenty of time in Honfleur to 

relax and explore but there is so much to explore in this beautiful 

region. Excursions included to Claude Monet’s remarkable House & 

Gardens at Giverny plus visits to Lisieux, Deauville, Trouville & Bayeux. 

Itinerary: 


your local pick up point (5.30/6.30am 

approx.) we board the 8.30am ferry 

from Poole to Cherbourg arriving in 

France at 2.00pm local time. We 

continue to Honfleur, arriving around 

4.30pm 

Day 2: A day at leisure for you to 

relax and enjoy exploring the town. 

There is an excellent land train which 

winds its way through the town. 

Day 3: Enjoy some lovely Normandy 

countryside on route to the religious 

city of Lisieux. Considered the second 

most important pilgrimage town in 

France with a spectacular 20thcentury 

hillside basilica, outdoing the 

medieval cathedral in the centre of 

town. Afterwards we head back to 

the Côte Fleurie and the towns of 

Trouville and Deauville. Known for its 


grand casino and American Film 

Festival with a wide sandy beach 

backed by a 1920s boardwalk and 

traditional bathing cabins. 

Day 4: Today we have another 

superb excursion to the amazing 

Claude Monet’s House & Garden at 

Giverney. Used as the canvas for 

many of his most famous paintings 

you can see the waterlilies, poppies 

and Japanese Bridge - a great 

experience and hugely popular with 

our customers. (Entrance included) 

Day 5: We leave in the morning and 

head for Bayeux - a lovely Norman 

town. Here you have the opportunity 

to see the famous Bayeux Tapestry. 

(not included) After lunch we head 

back to Cherbourg for the 6.15pm 

ferry crossing - arriving back in Poole 

at 9.45pm. Returning to your local 

pick up point. 

Ibis Styles Honfleur 

Delighted to be returning to the Ibis 

Styles Honfleur Hotel which we have been 

staying in for many years. Decorated in a 

modern continental style, it is superbly 

situated in the heart of the charming 

centre of Honfleur, with the picturesque 

harbour a 2 minute walk away. There are many excellent and friendly 

restaurants dotted around the harbourside - something for everyone. 

The 48 sound proofed rooms offer en-suite bathrooms, Satellite TV,

Day 1: Leaving your local pick-up 

point in the morning (approx. 8.30am),

Jubilee Line, the Docklands Light

Day 2: After your breakfast you are

Visiting two destinations which played such a huge part in our 

wartime history, this short break has proved to be hugely

healthy interest in Britain’s history. 

In the past few years the story of the top secret code breaking facility 

at Bletchley Park in Buckinghamshire has been thrust in to the public 

consciousness with a string of television dramas and a superb film 

starring Benedict Cumberbatch. 

IWM Duxford is home to an impressive collection of over two hundred 

aircraft as well as tanks, military vehicles and maritime craft. Explore the 

former RAF fighter station that was used during both the First and 

Second World Wars.

Duxford in Cambridgeshire with a 

stop mid morning on route. We arrive 

at Duxford late morning where you 

are free to explore this impressive 

museum. There are a number of 

exhibitions tracing its history 

including The 1940’s Operation 

Room, Historic Duxford - where you 

can discover how the men and 

women lived at Duxford, meet the 

skilled engineers who restore the 

aircraft plus get up close to some of 

the most iconic aircraft including the 

Lancaster, Spitfire, Concorde and

Northampton. 

Day 2: Fascinating day out as we 

head to Bletchley Park in Milton 

Keynes for a visit to the famous WWII 

code breaking centre. Seeing one of 

the Enigma Machines, including the 

rare ‘Abwehr G312’, is undoubtedly a 

highlight of a busy day out at 

Bletchley Park, but there is much 

more than machines in a visit to this 

historic site. Check out the tales of 

spies and strategic deception. There 

are plenty of different activities and 

exhibitions, from wartime toys to 

working computers, a wartime mini 

cinema to an outstanding Churchill 

collection. We allow around 6 hours 

at Bletchley - entrance included. We

Edinburgh 

After a full cooked breakfast, we 

head for Edinburgh which is about 1 

½ hours away - passing Stirling and 

The Kelpies on route. Steeped in

Scotland is a great day out. With a 

medieval Old Town and elegant 

Georgian New Town, there are parks 

and gardens dotted around the 

centre. Looming over the city is 

Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland’s 

crown jewels. Head to the famous 

Calton Hill, topped with monuments 

and memorials, for a panoramic view 

of the city. 

Day 4: 

Loch Lomond, Fort William & 

Loch Ness 

This morning we set off north via 

Loch Lomond to Fort William, in the 

shadow of magnificent Ben Nevis. We 

spend time in this famous town 

before continuing our highland 

adventure, heading to the mystical 

shores of Loch Ness, home of the 

fabled monster ‘Nessie’. We stop at 

the Loch Ness Centre near Urquhart 

Castle for a comfort break and 

photos before continuing our journey 

northwards through spectacular 

scenery to our highland home, 

Ullapool.

Ullapool 

We enjoy a day at leisure in the 

picturesque fishing town of Ullapool, 

gateway to the Northern Highlands, 

nestled on the shores of Loch Broom. 

The natural beauty of this area has to

include the Ullapool museum or one 

of the many boat trips offering tours 

around the surrounding waters -

Day 6: 

West Highlands & Inverewe 

Gardens 

This morning we set off for a scenic 

tour of the west coast. Heading west 

from Garve we travel via Loch Maree 

to Gairloch for a comfort stop at the 

harbour of this little fishing village, 

continuing north to the awardwinning 

botanical Inverewe Gardens 

full of amazing flora not normally 

seen in the UK. Finally, we follow the 

route of the famous North Coast 500 

along the coast back to Ullapool, 

marvelling at the rugged landscape 

which changes dramatically from turn 

to turn. 

Day 7: 

Falls of Shin & Inverness 

Today, we depart Ullapool and head 

south again making our first stop at 

the wonderful Falls of Shin and Visitor 

Centre, one of the best known sights 

in the area. Although not particularly 

high the falls have great power and 

salmon can often be seen attempting 

to leap them in the summer. We then 

move south to the popular 

destination of Inverness, where we 

spend some time at leisure exploring 

before continuing our journey 

through the Cairngorms National 

Park to Crieff.

We enjoy our final day in splendid 

Perthshire with a morning visit to 

Black Watch Castle & Museum in 

Perth. Located on one of Perth’s most

1600s and tells the story of Scotland’s 

elite military regiment. We have free 

time for lunch here or in Perth city, 

before enjoying a guided tour at

Close to the French border, the coastal resort of Roses lies 

on Spain’s beautiful Costa Brava in the district of Catalonia. 

The breathtaking coastline includes sandy beaches and

Creus with a variety of birds and wildlife. 

Roses is a modern tourist resort with an amazing history dating back to 

the Greeks and Romans, remains of which can be seen in the huge

We have been taking groups to Benidorm for many years 

and like to think that we have the balance right offering 

fantastic value for money and a good standard of 

accommodation. Benidorm is one of the most popular 

resorts anywhere in Europe with so much to offer the visitor. 

There are two magnificent beaches and level promenades to 

stroll along. 

Blessed by the lovely Mediterranean climate, people from all over 

Europe flock to the Costa Blanca out of season to enjoy the warmer 

climate. Our tours to Benidorm have 2 overnight stops on route - one 

in France and one in Spain. During the journey you can sit back, relax 

and enjoy the changing scenery in comfort. We have regular comfort 

stops during the journey and a main stop for lunch. 

Itinerary: 



to Kent for our Eurotunnel Crossing. 

We shall arrive at the excellent 

overnight Ibis Hotel near Saran, (Bed 

& Breakfast) at approximately 

7.30pm. 

Day 2: Leaving the hotel after 

breakfast we travel through southern 

France before entering Spain and 

arriving at our second overnight hotel 

in the Costa Brava area. This hotel 

will be a good quality 3* hotel with 

excellent accommodation with a 

choice of food for dinner. (included)

Day 3: Onwards to Benidorm. 

Arriving at the hotel around 5.00pm 

Days 4 to 14: Relax, settle into your 

excellent hotel and enjoy the facilities 

and happy atmosphere around 

Benidorm. During your time in the 

town we have included 2 half day 

excursions - to the pretty market

Princesa Hotel HHHH 

The 4* Hotel Princesa has proved to be very 

popular with our customers over the past few 

years. The hotel is located in an excellent 

position, adjacent to the old town area of 

Benidorm and only 400 metres from the long, 

sandy Levante beach. Within a few minutes 

there is a choice of bars, restaurants and shops. 

There are excellent public areas and comfortable 

bedrooms. The hotel offers a superb selection of 

food during our stay with an extensive buffet to 

enjoy. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with air 

conditioning/heating, telephone, satellite TV, minibar, hairdryer and 

balcony. (No balcony on single occupancy rooms) There are superb 

leisure facilities with indoor and outdoor pools, terrace and jacuzzi 

(fees may apply). There will also be entertainment every night!

Day 15: Sadly we must depart 

Benidorm and head home. We follow 

our outward route, so sit back and

Day 16: We leave Spain and travel 

through southern France to the 

overnight hotel in Auxerre – the Ibis 

Hotel around 7.30pm. (Bed & B’fast). 

Evening meal available. 

Day 17: After the buffet breakfast we 

head back to Calais for the late 

afternoon Eurotunnel Crossing.

In accordance with “The Package Travel, Package Tour Regulations 

1992” all passengers booking with Highcliffe Coach Holidays are 

fully bonded for the initial deposit and subsequently the balance of 

all monies paid to us, including repatriation if required arising from 

the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to 

the insolvency of Highcliffe Coach Holidays. 

We are members of the Bonded Coach Holiday government approved consumer 

protection scheme administered by the Confederation of Passenger Transport 

UK. This ensures that, in relation to the coach package holidays described in this 

brochure, your monies are protected by a bond in the unlikely event of our 

ceasing to trade. You are recommended to inspect our current membership 

certificate at our registered office or alternatively go to www.bch-uk.org or 

telephone 0207 240 3131 to confirm our current membership.

As members of the BCH we comply with the BCHG Trading Charter. A full 

copy will be provided with your booking or can be requested before booking 

if you prefer. 

GENERAL INFORMATION & ADVICE 

We want you to be as happy as possible from the moment you select your 

holiday until you return home. Along with the hotels which we use, we try our 

very best to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. To help you to make 

the right selection and for what you can expect from us, please take a moment 

to read the following points. 

LUGGAGE 

Due to space & weight restrictions the maximum suitcase size per 

person is 70 x 50 x 23cm. The maximum luggage weight per 

person is 20kg. A small separate holdall can also be taken on board. 

These restrictions are placed as a matter of safety and we thank you 

for your assistance. 

Porterage is provided at some of the hotels that we use. If not included it is 

usually available if required. This may incur a small additional charge which will 

need to be paid by you directly to the hotel. 

SEAT ALLOCATION 

Seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis when you book your 

holiday with us. If you have specific needs we would advise you to book as early 

as possible. We make every effort to abide by these allocations but on occasion, 

perhaps when a substitute coach is required, this may not be possible. We shall 

have no liability regarding any changes made.

SMOKING & ALCOHOL POLICY 

We operate a no smoking (including e-cigarettes) and no alcohol on board 

policy. We do have regular comfort stops.

HOTELS 

We offer a range of hotel accommodation which have different 

levels of comfort, facilities and quality. When selecting your 

holiday please ensure that the quality will match your requirements. 

This is generally related to the cost of the holiday but if you have any 

specific requirements please talk to our staff who will be able to help. 

Some of our hotels have chosen not to be members of the RAC/AA and as 

such are not star rated. This is not necessarily an indication of a lower standard 

of accommodation. 

If you have special requirements please notify us as soon as possible. The hotel 

will be notified before your arrival but please remember that rooms are 

allocated by the hotels. 

Rooms for Single Occupancy are in high demand and very often are sold out. 

Some hotels charge a supplement for these rooms, the cost of which is 

indicated in this brochure. 

We try to indicate all the room and hotel facilities for each hotel within the 

information in this brochure but cannot accept liability for any alterations made 

by the hotel before our arrival. Sometimes amenities such as swimming pools 

and lifts may be out of service whilst entertainment may be curtailed, altered or 

cancelled due to hotel number. 

Hot drink making facilities are not normally available in Continental hotel 

bedrooms but are usually available at the bar/café. 

When travelling abroad, you should expect the food to be served in the national 

custom and therefore different to British cuisine. For some hotels, particularly 

overnight hotels the restaurant will serve a set menu. If, when you are at the 

hotel, you require an alternative this is normally available but may incur an 

additional cost for you. 

These days, many hotels are excellent at providing Special Diets. Please let us 

know as soon as possible so they can make preparations early. 

Many meals are taken as a group in the restaurants and usually involve sharing 

tables with 2 or more other diners in our group. 

HOLIDAY ITINERARIES AND SUITABILITY 

We pride ourselves on the planning of our holidays to provide an exciting 

and enjoyable holiday experience. Many are planned months in advance and 

may require adjustment to the itineraries due to changes at destinations or 

attractions. 

Our itineraries are displayed in the brochure and you should carefully consider 

suitability before booking your holiday. You are, of course, quite welcome not 

to join any particular excursion during your holiday. 

Provided we are informed before departure, we are happy to take manual 

walking aids and folding wheelchairs up to 15kg in weight. Unfortunately, we are 

not able to carry any electric wheelchairs or scooters, although these are often 

available to hire at the destination. 

HOLIDAY CANCELLATION 

If we have to cancel a holiday this is always done well in advance of your 

departure date and a full refund is given. 

Due to the contract obligations and financial commitments we have with hotels 

if you have to cancel your holiday you will have to pay cancellation charges. 

These are based on the following scale depending on how close to departure 

we receive your cancellation. 

More than 42 days – Deposit only 

42-28 days – 30% 

27-14 days – 45% 

13-7 days – 60% 

Less than 7 days – 100% 

However, if you do cancel more than 42 days before your departure date we will 

transfer your deposit less a £10 per person administration fee to another holiday 

currently available. 

We do advise you to take out travel insurance to cover any of your loses.
