Braskem
Braskem is the largest producer of thermoplastic resins
in the Americas and the leading producer of biopolymers
in the world, creating more environmental-friendly,
intelligent and sustainable solutions through chemicals
and plastics. Known for innovative solutions such as its

reducing, fully recyclable I’m green Polyethylene
made from renewable sugarcane, Braskem’s products and

Braskem has updated its LCA study and also improved the
Responsible Ethanol Sourcing Framework, in partnership
with its suppliers, customers and associations. Allowing
the customer to understand the potential environmental
impacts throughout all stages of the product’s life cycle.
Applying I’m green polyethylene as an alternative raw
material is an opportunity to enhance product and brand
value by delivering an innovative and sustainable packaging
solution to the market.

safe.

European Bioplastics
European Bioplastics (EUBP) is the association
representing the interests of the bioplastics industry
in Europe and has been witness to and mouthpiece for
the achievements and outstanding developments of the
bioplastics industry over the past two decades to become
one of the most innovative and exciting sectors of the
European bioeconomy. At this year’s interpack, EUBP will
highlight the latest innovations and advancements of the
industry and inform visitors about the many benefits of
bio-based and biodegradable plastic materials. The booth
9F07 in hall 9 will be a hub for all visitors interested in
bioplastics and assist to find the right company amongst
the over 30 bioplastics representatives at the trade show.

FKUR Kunststoff
At this year’s Interpack FKuR presents a full range of
innovative and sustainable solutions for the packaging
industry. The Bioplastic Specialist offers support to brand
owners and plastic converters who want to implement
new products or packaging solutions made from
bioplastics. Customers are in a position to choose from a
huge variety of compostable, ready-to-use compounds as
well as a comprehensive distribution portfolio of biobased
resins, which includes I’m Green Polyethylene (Bio-
PE), Eastlon (Bio-PET) and VESTAMID ® Terra (Bio-PA).
One of the highlights on display will be the new Bio-
Flex ® home compost grades for the production of low
gauge and tear resistant films. The product range
currently comprises of translucent and opaque grades
with varying biobased carbon content of up to 50 %.
Other innovations include the recently launched
partially bio-based PP compounds Terralene ® PP as
well as the fully or partially bio-based TPE compounds
Terraprene ® . Those compounds
open up new possibilities as the
commodity plastic polypropylenes
(PP) as well as the large group of
thermoplastic elastomers (TPE)
belong to the group of plastics,
where bio-based alternatives
are limited or previously not even
represented.
