HOW 'MUSIC MAKERS'

SAVED THE DAY IN LIBERIA

Sierra Leone"s Legendary Sound System (Music Makers) rescued Liberia after a MASSIVE

NO-SHOW disappointment from a Ghanian sound company that would have caused major

embarrassment to one of the top local event producers in the country.

Within just 24 hours of receiving the distress call and with NO prior notice about the show,

Music Makers departed Freetown for Liberia and traveled throughout the night to save the

day.

The Music Makers' team led by the manager and senior engineer Patrick Tomagbandi

mesmerized the crowd with stage effects and sound system that had the audience

screaming with excitement.

The promoters were astonished that Sierra Leone is capable of producing such a remarkable

sound production and with thee professionalism to export such high grade equipment and

personnel at such short notice.

The CEO of Music Makers, Alhassan Kamara is very proud to know that the investment he

made into rebranding Sierra Leone Entertainment continues to bring such impressive

accolades to the country.

Furthermore, he is super happy to know that all the training and knowledge he has imparted

into local youths, who are now event managers, sound engineers, stage and lighting

experts, continues to pay dividends.

Finally, as an MBA graduate, he is happy to show the world that Sierra Leoneans can

establish businesses and business systems that work effectively, as Music Makers continue

to deliver top notch sound production at home and abroad, even though he is abroad

pursuing other business opportunities.

and palm wine guitarist and singer from Sierra Leone.

Biography

Sooliman Ernest Rogers was born in 1926 in the town of Fonikoh,

Pujehun District in southern Province Sierra Leone.[1] He began

performing early, while supporting himself as a tailor, and he came

to use his nickname "Rogie" as his official surname.[1] In the 1960s,

he became a professional musician, singing in four languages. His

hits include "Koneh Pehlawo", "Go Easy with Me" and "My Lovely

Elizabeth". He formed a band called The Morningstars in 1965. In

1973 Rogie left Africa and travelled to the United States. There he

performed at elementary and high schools across California, and

received awards from the US Congress and Senate, the cities of

Berkeley and Oakland, California.

In 1988, invited by British disc jockey Andy Kershaw, he

moved to England, where he bought a home in Finchley.[2] In

1991, he put together a band, The Palm-Wine Tappers, and

toured the UK. He died on July 4th 1994 at the age of 68,

shortly after recording his last album, Dead Men Don't Smoke

Marijuana. He had undergone heart bypass surgery in

February but against medical advice travelled to perform in

Russia, where he lost consciousness while performing onstage.

He died at Lewisham Hospital, South London, having been

flown by air-ambulance from Estonia. [1]

Music Lyrics: 'WETIN WE GAIN’

# 0655

I couldn't imagine life without you; the sun would

never rise without you by my side. I'm glad that I

get to spend every Valentine's Day with you.

# 0654

You smile, and the sun comes out. This is why I

come to you in my moments of joy and sorrow.

You are one amazing person, and I am so lucky to

be your Valentine forever.

# 0653

What if there were no decisions to be made, but

only moments to be lived? I would still live my

moments with you.

# 0652

Everything you do captivates me. Everything

about you amazes me. Everything you are is a

blessing.

# 0651

Love is one word and everything in between.

Love is a fairytale come true. Because I found

Love when I found You. Happy Valentine's Day

to My Love

# 0650

I will never become weary of adoring you. I

appreciate the manner in which you make me go

gaga for you all the more every day. Upbeat

Valentine's Day!

# 0649

I am an effective man since I adore an

unbelievable lady who dependably has

confidence in me. You draw out my best, and your

adoration finishes me. Cheerful Valentine's Day!
