“Hey Vans Family,
Another year gone by and another one just begun.
Although time does fly by at the speed of light (or so it seems), in the last 12 months, so
many things have happened in our area of responsibility.
Alessio has officially become part of the Stabio team as Retail Ops Manager, a new District
has been added in the UK, we have incorporated three (3) new DM's to the Team (David
Irvine, Daniele Usai, Nico Ven Menxel), five (5) store mangers have joined the DM Trainee
Program, the associates of 6 Polish stores have officially become part of the team directly
managed by Vans Retail EMEA, we have opened our first ever EMEA Brand showcase store
in London Oxford Street and our first ever EMEA Boutique store in London Covent Garden,
we have launched new management tools such as Yoobic, MobieTrain, and very recently
started piloting Storeforce, the Vans Family program was launched in the UK, and the list
goes on and on and on...
We live in a VUCA world where adapting to change is key, and the mindset is fundamental.
Fixed mindset versus Infinite mindset.
If the list of changes in 2019 seems daunting, I can assure you the list of changes in 2020
will even be longer.
And this is GREAT!
Retail is no exception to the changing world we live in, quite to the contrary, so we need to
evolve, and I personally feel very invigorated by this never ending journey.
This reminds me of one of my favourite quote: " Growth might be painful, Change might
be painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong".
Embrace the change and embark on the beautiful, challenging journey that the year 2020
has in store for us!
Attitude is (almost) everything!
As always, I am looking forward to meeting with as many of you as possible, this year.

We wanted to give the big shoe out to a customer on Christmas Eve as an
early Christmas present from Vans and we found our perfect candidate.
Michael and his family were kitted out in Vans gear and stocking up in the last
minute sales. The kids were so happy with the gift, but think Michael loved it

LONDON BRENT CROSS
Martin and family have been coming in since we opened in March
last year, He has been a loyal customer and built a great repour
with the team here in Brent Cross. He is consistently excited to see
new product, how the store is doing and what family has to offer
each month! As an ex BMX'er Martins love for vans had started at a
young age and has truly rubbed off on his children who love visiting
the store. They were all over the moon to receive the size 66,
Martin came back the next day to let us know it is by the Christmas
tree and to redeem some of those precious family points

survived :) all the mud washed out
