Welcome to the start of our 20th year!The Bridge House Theatre has clocked up 20 yearsin no time and audiences have enjoyed an everbroadening range of exceptional performances fromprofessionals, schools and community. It has built anenviable reputation in that time as an intimate andbeautiful space in which to perform. This anniversaryyear will continue to see us celebrating the best inTheatre, Music, Dance, Comedy and Film. Look outfor special anniversary events later in the year andthose as part of our 2020 Arts Festival.In January we welcome back two of our favouriteAustralian companies as they return to tour the UKand Europe. Midnite Theatre Company from Perthare bringing us Where in the World is Frank Sparrowmixing a tough urban environment with a mythicalunderworld. In February BYTE from Melbourne, inThe Deep Freeze, explore challenging contemporaryissues.Also returning to us in February, Morgan and West’sUnbelievable Science will bring their wit and charmto the world of explosive science in this wonderful,mind-blowing family show. Later that month sees thereturn of full-mask company VAMOS. We are thrilledthey are bringing their brand new show Dead Goodto Warwick, a play which is both funny and poignantin its depiction of two lives coming to an end.Expect playful and moving work from these brilliantperformers of wordless theatre.The King’s High Dance Evening in Februarypromises a brilliant night showcasing the breadthof dance styles taught in the Foundation. Thehugely popular Jazz at the Bridge returns againand the season has an ever developing programmeof wonderful music events for everyone to enjoy,celebrating the best in young musicianship acrossthe Foundation. Do keep an in contact for furtherdetails and other music events.For fans of musical theatre we are thrilled to havebeen given the rights to produce Mary Poppins Jnrwith our Middle School students (years 9 and 10).Based on one of the most popular Disney moviesof all time and the Broadway hit that played forover 2,500 performances, it’s a ‘practically perfect’musical. Don’t miss this enchanting mixture ofirresistible story, unforgettable songs and breathtakingdance numbers in early March.One of last year’s big highlights was The Noise NextDoor. They are back the same month with anothernew improvised show in Charge in which the peopleof Warwick will be in control in new and excitingways. Always expect the unexpected with theseboys!I, Elizabeth performed by Rebecca Vaughan(Dyad Productions) will no doubt be a spellbindingaccount of the young monarch in anothermasterclass of solo performance. Don’t miss thispopular production.Of course this is a busy season for dance, curriculumdrama and visitors from the community. GCSE, ALevel drama students will be performing once againin the Spring and Aylesford School will be backagain with their main production in January.Do keep an eye on the website as additional eventsare sometimes booked that don’t feature in thisbrochure.
