“Swing for A Cause” featured Major League Baseball players<br />

from across the nation who were paired with Foursomes that<br />

were included in sponsorship levels. The players involved in<br />

the event included: J.D. Martinez of the Boston Red Sox, Danny<br />

Valencia of Team Israel, Lewis Brinson of the Miami Marlins,<br />

Sandy Alcantara of the Miami Marlins, Mallex Smith of the Seattle<br />

Mariners, Marcus Stroman of the New York Mets, Michael<br />

Brantley of the New York Mets, Travis Demeritte of the Detroit<br />

Tigers, as well as former NBA All-Star Richard ‘Rip’ Hamilton of<br />

On Friday, November 22nd, Saint Joseph’s Episcopal School<br />

concluded a month-long food drive to benefit WPTV News<br />

Channel 5’s Food for Families. Families and faculty/staff members<br />

donated non-perishable food items, such as soups, rice,<br />

dried beans, canned meats, and vegetables, to help those less<br />

fortunate in our community in time for Thanksgiving and during<br />

the upcoming holiday season. Student Council members<br />

weighed the collected items, resulting in 2,789 pounds of food!<br />

Saint Joseph’s Episcopal School holds itself to the highest<br />

standards for the character of each child and believes that every<br />

child deserves to attend a school where all are safe and supported.<br />

Saint Joseph’s, founded in 1958, is an FCIS-accredited,<br />
