These events, held twice per week, offer players of all ages and abilities a friendly

and welcoming environment to play, practice, and compete. It is a great way to

Morning Blast Tennis

Start your day off right! Morning Blast will get your heart rate up with high pace

and high energy drills and point play. Our certified tennis teaching professionals

will lead you through 60 minutes of different drills and games that will leave you

feeling refreshed, confident and ready to play more tennis. All skill levels welcome.

Doubles Skills Tennis

Join us for 90 minutes of situational drills and games for doubles led by our

passionate team of certified tennis teaching professionals. Players are grouped by

skill level so that everyone is optimally challenged and receives the most relevant

coaching. Each week we will progress to different subjects and new areas of focus.

Come learn the steps you need to rock to country. Instructor Kit Schiller will teach

you what a vine is, how to do a shuffle, a cha-cha and many more! Never danced

before? This is the class for you. Got two left feet? We’ll teach them both! No flip

flops. Shoes should slide a little on the floor and have backs to them. Dance

socks on sneakers are acceptable. This beginner’s class is set-up as a 4-week

successional program. Each session will increase slightly in difficulty.

Have you taken our Beginners class? Now that you’ve learned the steps, let’s learn

some dances! We’ll take those steps and put them to music with your favorite

songs. We’ll help break down each dance as well as help with tags, restarts, and

along the floor with an impressive Foxtrot, display the passion associated with the

Tango, feel the heat of the Cha Cha, dance the romantic Rumba, and wow your

Agricultural Museum

This 1770 historic site sits on the west-side property of the Florida Agricultural Museum.

Learn about the 10 acre, half-mile guided tour-only hiking trail, that contains the

archaeological ruins of a water-wheel wooden-gear driven sawmill, dam, colonial

houses and slave quarters.

During the American Civil War, the Union Army repeatedly pushed its way into Florida,

eventually capturing St. Augustine. In order to maintain the supplies for their war effort,

they conducted regular raids across Northeast Florida, encountering and fighting the

Confederate Army. Join us in learning about the Pellicer Creek Raid.

Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center (The Edwards Twins)

Pioneer Art Settlement

A visit to Barberville Pioneer Settlement is truly a unique experience. The historical

village is nestled within a charming, moss-draped oak hammock in western

Volusia County. They can provide our group with a guided tour of the structures

within their expansive campus, which illustrates life in rural Florida in the bygone

days of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Lunch is at the Blackwater Inn

which overlooks the St. Johns River. Final Stop at Barberville Yard Art Emporium.

The Grand Guided Tour of Stetson Mansion

Did you know that Lurch from the Addams Family went to Stetson University?

The Grand tour will include a trip to the 3rd floor to see the Stetson memorabilia

room, the boardroom, the tower balcony, 3 completely different designer

bedrooms, two feminine and one very masculine, all with hand painted wall

treatments, and 4 new bathrooms cleverly fitted into the existing space on a floor

where there had only been one. Guests will hear more stories, history and how

great hats were made. Lunch at Einstein Bros. Bagels featuring a wide variety of

breakfast and lunch options.

Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Minor League Baseball Game

Come out with us to watch the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp play the Biloxi Shuckers

The Flagler Rowing Club will keep participants energized during this hour-long,

Princess Place Preserve offers a scenic locale, a natural and man-made beauty at

the confluence of Pellicer Creek and the Matanzas River. Enjoy nature and the

Intracoastal Waterway from a rocking chair on the porch. Please meet us at

Princess Place. Lunch provided under the pavilion with a tour of the lodge at 2pm.

The City of Palm Coast Fire Department offers CPR and First Aid Training

• The Healthcare Provider course -- a professional certification course -- includes

a multiple-choice written exam and a practical exam.

• Workbooks for use during the class are provided; however, it is highly

recommended that participants purchase a course workbook ahead of time.

The American Heart Association recommends that each student review the

course information for two weeks prior to the course. Workbooks can be found

at: http://www.aha.channing-bete.com.

• Course available to those ages 13 and up.

• Participants should arrive a few minutes ahead of time for check-in.

• A minimum of six persons and a maximum of 12 persons is required for each

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers course provides healthcare

professionals the ability recognize several life-threatening emergencies, administer

CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, effective and timely manner.

Examples of those who may need this certification are EMS personnel, physician

assistants, dentists, nurses, respiratory therapists and others. All must have a

credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course.

The 4.5 hour course is video-based with instructor-led discussion and simulation.

Students participate, practice, and complete various skills and learning stations.

We will provide a workbook for you to borrow during the course. However, we

recommend you purchase a workbook two weeks prior to the course and review

the information.

We are partnering with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office to host the Eddie Eagle

GunSafe® program. This is a gun accident prevention program developed by a

task force made up of educators, school administrators, curriculum specialists,

urban housing safety officials, clinical psychologists, law enforcement officials and

National Rifle Association (NRA) firearm safety experts with the mission to teach

children four simple, easy to remember steps so they know what to do if they ever

come across a gun: STOP! Don’t Touch. Run Away. Tell a Grown-up. These classes

will be taught by a certified NRA instructor and law enforcement will be in

attendance. No actual firearms will be used in this program.

Lil’ Sensory Explorers

Little ones are eager to play and explore! Activities will include picture books,

different sensory activities, free play, and social interaction. Children will develop

an understanding of textures, colors, fine motor skills, and vocabulary.

Bring your wagons, bring your strollers or just bring your walking shoes. We’ll meet

at the Community Center playground and venture off on a walk down the St. Joe

13th Annual Christmas Tree Recycling

Drop off your Christmas tree and receive a FREE 3 gallon evergreen tree in

exchange. Please remove all decorations, lights, tinsel and ornaments prior to

drop off. Also included is paper shredding and electronics and Christmas light

recycling. NOT able to accept televisions or microwaves. No registration required.

Mayor’s 90/90 Challenge

Get outdoors and get active - join us for the Mayor’s 90/90 Challenge! The

challenge is to move at least a mile a day for the 90 days from Jan. 6 to April 4.

You can choose your own form of exercise. Log in to Palm Coast Connect and

record your progress throughout the month. Everyone who completes the

Challenge will receive a prize. Share your progress along the way on social

media using #Mayors9090 and #connecttofitness.

This exciting tournament - Flagler County’s only professional sporting event - is a

week-long celebration of tennis that showcases world-class talent and inspires the

next generation of players.

NCCAA Youth Sports Clinic

Young athletes – get ready for some free fun on the fields! Free soccer, baseball,

volleyball, basketball and golf clinics are scheduled at Indian Trails Sports Complex

and Palm Harbor Golf Club. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and

practice basic skills with professional coaches and collegiate athletes representing

the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).

Spring Art Exhibition and Show

Enjoy an art-filled evening featuring multi-generational art created by those who

have attended our A.R.T programs from toddlers all the way through seniors. Also

open to public art submissions. This event is in partnership with the Palm Coast

Historical Society who are featuring a special evening with world renowned

National Geographic Photographer and Conservationist Carlton Ward Jr. Come

embrace this art movement in our community.

Arbor Day

Palm Coast’s love of trees and commitment to environmental sustainability will be

celebrated during this day-long event featuring a tree give-away, butterfly

release and tent, live entertainment, food/pet food drive, exhibits, petting zoo and

fun activities for all ages. Admission is free, and free professional paper-shredding

will be available. Attendees can exchange canned food or pet food items for a free

three-gallon native hardwood tree (while supplies last).

Our certified pool staff will lead activities to teach safety in and around the pool.
