A common gripe over the years has
been the cost of a Vietnamese visa for
those who just wish to visit Phu Quoc.
For some years now the procedure has
been in place for a FREE Visa to Phu
Quoc but it’s still yet to be exploited.
Currently there are two common
choices if you wish to only visit Phu
Quoc, first option is take the direct
flights either from Bangkok (Bangkok
Air) or Kuala Lumpur (Air Asia) where
the procedure on arrival at Phu Quoc
airport is very simple and straight
forward OR if you are transiting via
Hanoi or HCM city just follow the
procedure below;
Visa on Arrival Procedure
Most nationalities wishing only to
visit Phu Quoc can obtain a “Visa on
arrival letter” at the airport of entry
which allows a stay of up to 30 days,
see some of the key points to the
procedure below:
• You must have a return air ticket in
and out of Phu Quoc (and Vietnam)
• Passport with more than 6 months
validity
• Upon International arrival at Hanoi
or HCM City airport go to the area
just before immigration to get your
30 day visa “letter” (this is not a visa
in your passport)
