Here are some answers to frequentlyasked questions.What should I pack?Winter days can be crisp—the average high in January is 22degrees—so bring a good coat and warm boots to enjoy theoutdoors! Spring is generally mild and pleasant with Aprilhighs in the low 50s. The forest can be wet with snow melt,so waterproof boots are a good idea. Summer days arewarm with temperatures often in the upper 70s or warmer—pack sunscreen and bug repellent to ensure a good time. Falldays are pleasant. Afternoons can be much warmer than theevenings, when frost can dust the fallen leaves—think layers.Where can I find a scenic trail?We have dozens of multi-use trails in Vilas County.
