In 2019, the <strong>Learning</strong> & <strong>Skills</strong> Service assisted<br />
thous<strong>and</strong>s of people on to adult learning<br />
courses, apprenticeships, <strong>and</strong> into work, <strong>and</strong><br />
this year we want to help even more residents.<br />
This prospectus has a focus on skills for<br />
work with many of the courses designed to<br />
introduce you to sectors with employment<br />
opportunities in our region from Health<br />
<strong>and</strong> Safety in Construction (CSCS Card)<br />
<strong>and</strong> Bricklaying to Beauty Therapy <strong>and</strong><br />
Hairdressing.<br />
In addition, we have a continuing programme<br />
of languages, art <strong>and</strong> wellbeing courses...<br />

There are many ways to access courses,<br />
with 11 adult learning centres located across<br />
Northumberl<strong>and</strong>. Furthermore, we offer<br />
a FREE digital skills programme in local<br />
community buildings for those residents in<br />
rural locations. Our IT lecturers bring their<br />
equipment <strong>and</strong> expertise <strong>and</strong> create bespoke<br />
courses depending on the needs of each<br />
