Darlaston earned a place in Round Three of the Birmingham County FA
Midweek Challenge Cup with a hard-earned win against Midland
League Division Two side FC Stratford.
Darlaston had much the better of the first half and took the lead on 5
minutes. A long kick by keeper Connor Hopkins eluded the Stratford
defence, Zico Agyemang pounced on the loose ball to easily slot home
beyond keeper Louis Sone. The early goal rattled the visitors who
were all at sixes and sevens as Aidan Blackham, Zico Agyemang and
Connor Fellows all had efforts saved by Sone.
