With the exception of Combined Counties League side Jersey Bulls FC ,
Shifnal Town boast the second best winning run in all Leagues the
Country with 12 consecutive league wins since the start of the season.
So Darlaston travelled to The Acoustafoam Stadium with a mammoth
task on their hands hoping to make it 13th time unlucky for The
"Shiffers". Their task was made even more difficult with 7 players
unavailable, Adam Cole leaving the club in midweek with Reis Nadat,
Ryan Jones, Daniel Bolzon and Scott Stevenson unavailable whilst
Jamie Holder and Tyrone Clarke O'Connell were both on the
substitutes bench carrying injuries. Consequently manager Andy
Parkes was forced into a reshuffle with Luke Charlton and Lucas Hough
reverting to central defenders and Connor Fellows and Liam
Smith moving into midfield.
