themselves superbly and do the club proud but on the night the
Committee and Directors and volunteers demonstrated that they
could also handle the big occasion. Everyone was immense on the
night but I must pay special mention to Lynne Hale, Garry Hale and
Gil Preece who were at the Ground from mid-morning to late at night
all putting in a 12 hour shift. As Chairman I am truly blessed to have
such a wonderful group of volunteers working on behalf of the club.
Following the game we have received fabulous feedback from Walsall
FC Officials, VIPs on the night and from Darlaston and particularly
Walsall fans who visited the ground for the first time. People were
particularly complimentary about the playing surface, the matchday
programme, our facilities and drinks & food quality & prices. Our
website has had more than 3000 views since the game and Walsall
fans forums have been very positive about the club and their
experience on the evening. We hope to see some of them at future
home games.
