Two years ago, Village Green’s leadership
set out under the new CEO, Diane
Batayeh, to create an engaging work culture
where associates look for a higher
purpose in what they do. Village Green’s
leadership began a process of “transformation,”
with the goal of becoming
a great place to work. They drafted a
new Mission Statement, Guiding Principles
and Standards that have been integrated
into all aspects of associate
performance and development.
Associates both in the field and in
corporate support departments
have embraced the new culture,
and VG has seen substantial improvements
in key performance
indicators, such as Kingsley scores,
satisfaction surveys and financial
performance, receiving numerous
awards in multifamily housing as
well as making “top workplaces”
lists.
