STORYWORLD BIBLE
LOGLINE
For centuries, the citizens of Akvos, an Aquarian starcluster have upheld the
twin-flame tradition, the divine union of the masculine and the feminine believing that to be
the fundamental reason for flourishing as one of the most advanced societies in the Milky
Way Galaxy. They are the leaders of the Kindred of Light and a civilisation that other
interstellar societies look up to. But, when one of their own refuses to uphold the tradition
and invites an alien being into their world from the long banished planet of Earth, their
existential basis is put to test.
4
2. AN OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT
We all have different realities. We live in different worlds and identify differently.
Flames is a story of overcoming prejudices and reclaiming power in your own skin. Set in the
interstellar word of Akvos, it is the tale of a young woman, Meera who is born a twin-flame,
predestined to marry Kanha, her chosen half, and become the future queen of Akvos. But,
ever falls in love with an alien ‘human’ on a mission the earth only to bring her home planet
in danger. It is the timeless story of the choice between power and love.
Narrated primarily as an audio-drama series across three seasons, the storyworld of
Akvos is an exaggerated metaphor for the state of current human civilisation that is driven by
human intellect and greed over empathy. It also explores the dynamics of female choice in
matriarchal societies and marriage as a socio-political institution, drawing from the marital
structures in the Asian and East-Indian part of the world.
The storyworld draws in its content, largely from contemporary esoteric mythology
and mystical self-identities such as starseeds, indigos, crystals and twinflames. The primary
audience, therefore, naturally will be people who identify themselves as part of this sphere.
Taking these elements and making them literal components of the storyworld will act as a
subgenre of fantasy, attracting fans of fantasy fiction.
The main benefit of the story being told in an audio format is that it is both easy to
produce and finance. Audio narratives encourage imagination and the story is as powerful as
5
the receiver’s ability to imagine. Since esoteric beliefs and occurrences are largely
experiential, there are only conjectures of what different beings and things in this world look
like. In Flames, we plan to keep this quality intact and build upon it - allowing for different
interpretations and imaginative, visual versions of the world.
The Flames franchise is designed to strategically disseminate content via different
platforms apart from the primary audio platform such as an official website that will act as
the main hub for audience interaction by hosting contests, quizzes, online games, discussion
forums and a wiki page. Micro-narratives such as flash-fiction and memes are an integral part
of intertextual promotion of the property.
The branding and design will be rooted in the storyworld and reflect in the
merchandise, collectibles, board game and live events sold and organized across three years
of roll-out. The niche nature of the property and rich storyworld not only makes fan
promotions and crowdfunding possible, but also opens up doors to partnerships,
sponsorships and ad revenue from related niche markets, allowing space for spin-offs, in turn
making the franchise more sustainable.

3. STORYWORLD OVERVIEW
The Kindred of Light, a federation of constellations in the Milky Way Galaxy with many
star-tribes, clusters and constellations under it. Akvo is a cluster with many constellations but
under which lie the primary ones, that of Aquarius and Pegasus. The Akvos are renowned
throughout the Kindred of Light for their unparalleled abilities of the mind and creating a
society that is self-sufficient, sustainable and ‘forward-moving’ without resorting to
aggressive violence.
Their unique ability to balance breakthroughs and constant metamorphoses, with
spiritual and intellectual growth sets them apart from others in the federation who are
struggling with war, poverty, crime and terrorism. The Akvos relish on breaking their own
rules and finding new ways to live and be. Except one. Almost all of the population believes
that the tradition of the Twin Flame union set in place millions of years ago by their ancestors
is the one rule that cannot and shouldn’t be broken.
Twin Flames are the chosen ones. They are usually born with abilities slightly superior
than that of the common Akvaan and show early signs. In many cases, the signs of their
future birth are visible in some way through their parents or grandparents. The tribes then
create the most conducive environment for them to flourish and fulfil their highest
potentials.
7
Kanha and Meera are two twin flames of the Aquarian and Pegasian descent
respectively. The birth and subsequent union of Meera and Kanha was an extremely
important event for the citizenry of Akvo, especially for Aquarius and Pegasus and had been
planned and been in-the-works by their ancestors for the last three centuries, having made it
possible through overcoming immense tribulations, wars and sacrifices from the race. Their
union is supposed to raise the entire Akvo cluster to a new level of consciousness. Like most
other aquarians and pegasians, they are born with large, beautiful wings - but as twin flames,
their wings can also teleport them along with other special features.
Kanha and Meera are a shining example of such a union for Akvo. They are sent on a
mission to the Earth, a planet-organism that was banished from the Kindred a long time ago
due to the non-cooperation, recklessness and disregard of its residents towards Prana, the
highest order of Life. The Earth is now in decay, awaiting death in its final years of Ali, the
linear form of Life.
Post their successful mission, Kanha and Meera are to be married in divine union and
are supposed to bring great things to the cluster of Akvo during their reign, the most
important one of which is to uplift the cluster to the next level of spiritual consciousness.
Time and again, the unbroken spell of the twin-flame tradition seems to be the cause of their
elysian society.

4. THE UNIVERSE AND ITS RULES
The mythology of this storyworld heavily borrows existential and metaphysical
concepts and values from New-Age extraterrestrial hypotheses and academic research,
Ancient Hindu & Asian myths, documented alien-abduction recollections, collected database
of the Galactic Federation and other extended areas.
There are several distinct existential systems in this story-verse, but the most
significant (for the purposes of our story) being that of the Earth (Solar System) and of the
Akvos Star System. The physical laws of Earth remain as we know them, albeit it is not an
unfamiliar dystopian setting. The Laws of Existence in all other settings, however, are
disparate from that of the Earth. Some of these distinctions are outlined below:
LIFE & EXISTENTIAL PRINCIPLES
Most beings and civilisations of this story-verse
recognize the highest order of life, what they call
“Prana” - the Life Force that permeates all levels of the
cosmos, and the many variants of Life that exist across
different stellar and planetary systems, separate from
the various life forms or living beings. The Kindred of
Light is reverential to Prana, acknowledges its
significance and there is no place for anyone who does
otherwise.
Ali is one such variant of Prana, which is of linear nature, beginning with birth and
ending with death. The beings of the Earth and the solar system exist in Ali, while the Akvans
exist in Parikrama, a looping variant of Life. There are also other variants such as Dvikrama, a
variant that makes its beings appear to constantly fade in and out of existence.
9
5. LOCALES - ITS PHYSICAL & BIOLOGICAL LAWS
Distance From Earth: Between 200 and 3,000 light years.
Accepted into the Kindred of Light: 3.78 million years ago, Akvos is essentially
twin-star system with seven planets, meaning there are two suns - the zaffre (blue) sun and
the saffron (orange) sun, the latter being brighter, larger and closer than the other. The
positioning is therefore, such that day and night do not exist. However, a duality of light
prevails, with the daytime equivalent to saffron and nightime to zaffre. There is a small period
of transition between the both which lasts from two and three hours called raffre.
Most planets in Akvos adhere to the laws of general relativity, similar to the solar
system. These planets are smaller than those in the solar system (the largest planet
equivalent to the size of Mars i.e. 4200 miles diameter) and are close to one another, making
interplanetary travel a relatively common thing. They are liquid-heavy with small islands over
the surface that are inhabited by the politically powerful. Most of the civilisation however,
resides in the colorful beehive-like structures that dangle from what appear to be thick
10
clouds of vapor. As a result, the generations that have grown up on the land have evolved
with underdeveloped wings having immense body strength and those on the hives, with
highly developed flying capabilities. Both of these living spaces are lit differently depending
on the timecycle.
In general, there are no ‘night’ or ‘dark’ areas on most planets. However, there are
parts of the planets that exist in the trenches where light cannot penetrate, obstructed either
due to continuous high tides or vegetation or thick overhead clouds. These are the lesser
inhabited areas of Akvos with organisms that are either self-luminous or dark creatures that
do not need stellar energy for basic survival.
11
6. LIFE FORMS
Overall Physical Appearance:
The women vary in their appearance and are 6 feet, 2 inches to 6 feet, 8 inches tall, with black
to dark brown hair and grey to brown eyes. They have either extremely pale white or light
blue skin.
The men vary from perfectly formed muscular physiques to child-like bodies, and are 6 feet, 6
inches to 7 feet, 4 inches in height, with blonde to light brown hair and light blue to
green-colored eyes.
The intersexes vary similarly in their appearance, and are the tallest, being 7 feet, 6 inches to 8
feet, 4 inches in height, with black or golden hair, with varying colors of skin that reflect the
colors of the surroundings.
Racial Diversity:
The first race, Vina strongly resembles the average human in height and
appearance, but is taller by a foot or two and is divided into white and blue skin types with
similarly colored large, heavy wings. They are the original inhabitants of Akvos spread across
different parts and planets of the star cluster. They are also the majority race and currently
hold most of the powerful positions in the social structure. Meera is a Vina descendant.
The second race, Vata is a thinner human type with red or orange skin with
comparatively smaller, lighter wings. Vata slightly resemble the first in height and/or body
types, except for two major differences. First, the skin, as well as the hair, is either a light red
or a dark orange in color. Second, the eyes are more cat-like in appearance and the iris is
either red or a dark blue. This tribe migrated from a nearby constellation several thousand
12
years ago, embraced Akvos as its own and have coexisted with its original citizens in peace
and harmony for the most part, except for the minor rivalries that brewed on tense occasions.
Kanha is a Vata descendant.
The third race, Rudra is a hybrid formed from Vata and
an alien dinoid race. They have a scaly type of skin with
with more pronounced cat-like eyes that are either red,
brown or pale yellow. The body, legs, neck, and arms are
more muscular than a human and have a number of
thick vein-like protuberances running their length. Their
wings are bat-like and webby. Each hand and foot ends
in 4 thin, long fingers or toes, with a small claw at its end.
●
The males are some 7 to 8 feet (2.13 to 2.44 meters) in height, while the females range
from 6 feet, 10 inches to 7 feet, 7 inches (2.08 to 2.31 meters) tall.
●
A few of them live in companionship with the Vata and Vina races but most of them
live in the trenches in the dark and periodically come out to bask in the suns.
Lifestyle & Routine:
Living: Akvans are a spiritually conscious species. Most are nomadic and pride on their
ability to detach materially. This is especially applicable to those who live in the hives and
have flying abilities allowing them to migrate easily. Most of the built architecture is
transformable and designed to be adaptive to its changing residents. Those living on the
archipelagos have comparatively less adaptive buildings. They are however, still
impermanent and are built and dissimilated as the tribes move. Like Vina and Vata, the
13
trench-dwellers are also in constant motion, especially due to upheavals in the water tides,
but unlike the former, they never build anything and find naturally formed crevices and caves
to live in. On an average, the Akvans sleep for two-three hours during the raffre time, but this
also varies depending on the regions they reside in.
Food: The Akvan diet ranges from hunting-gathering to being heavily dependent on
each other for cooking. They give special significance to preparing the food in the right way,
so as to advance their bodies and minds spiritually. Most of them are omnivores, with varying
degrees of food choices.
Language & Communication: There are two types of languages spoken - one is
harmonic (in the clouds) and the other more guttural (in the trenches). The speech is similar
to that of the Earth but with a wider range of syllables. Most Akvans, however do not see the
need to use language and are telepathically fluent.
Average Life Expectancy: 150 years
months.
Reproduction: Similar to humans but with a longer pregnancy period, an average of 11
NOTE : Other Characteristics under Development -
●
Akvans are Mononymous - meaning, they only have first names. For the most part, the
lineage is inconsequential for spiritual quests among Akvans. However, ancestry is
denoted in several ways through some form of physical attribute or a tattoo or a
symbol. These tattoos are marked at birth and hidden from the public eye, only
displayed when specifically asked for on dire occasions. It is considered a disgrace to
inquire of one’s lineage.
14
7. CHRONOLOGY & SOCIO-POLITICAL STRUCTURE
aka
THE ORIGINS OF THE TWIN-FLAME TRADITION
The origin of the twin-flame tradition is not accurately identified (as yet) but it seems
to go back at least a hundred generations. The twin-flame system is a form of arranged
marriage, where two significant individuals are matched together and chosen by ‘The
Keepers’ (the wise ones) to marry in divine union to take upon the responsibilities of reigning
over Akvos. More often than not, the twin flames are male and female, each born as a
manifestation of the divine masculine and the divine feminine respectively. On rare occasion,
an intersexual twin-flame is born. The last intersexual twin-flame was born a few centuries
ago and has only survived in legends and songs.
15
The Birth of the Twin-Flame System
The Twin-Flame System has its roots in astro science - calculating specific
relationships between physical bodies of varying sizes from galactic measures to atomic and
molecular measures, how the movement of a celestial body can affect the specific chemical
composition of a living being, in turn affecting their energies and behaviour and life choices.
Being the logicians and learned
astronomers that Akvans naturally
are, they were the pioneers of the
Twin-Flame System.
The first Akvan to supposedly have
discovered this secret was a Vina
woman, often known in the old
tales as ‘The First Keeper’. The
legends in children’s stories
described her as the most
beautiful and the oddest, mad
woman that ever lived, who
hoarded colored stones, scales, sand, knives and melted them all in fire to make glass
instruments like no one in the Kindred ever had before. And that she drew symbols and laid
out pebbles everywhere and saw things, nobody else could see. Akvos at the time was a
patriarchal society where crimes against women knew no boundaries. The masculine
energies on the rise destroyed anything and everything that came their way. The First Keeper
‘saw’ in her observations the only possible solution - an uprising of the feminine energy to
restore the divine balance.
Her sister’s daughter, Zahaa she identified as the first twin-flame and prophesied that
she would lead the then decaying Akvos to prosperity. She was mocked and ridiculed when
16
she expressed her findings to her family. The First Keeper was a passionate, fiery woman and
in the heat revealed her other finding,
the imminent Ali death of her sister
and his husband, a sacrilege to the
Parikrama life force of looping
lifespans. When the baby was
eventually born, by the prophet’s
words, her sister died. Enraged with a
madwoman’s prophecies that
seemed to have come true, the sister’s husband sent a group of men to sexually assault her.
She couldn’t be killed because of the Parikrama laws of life (she would be born again) and so
was banished her into the depths of the trenches on Kamsa, the darkest and furthest planet
in Akvos, where there would be no light and hence, no way for her to create or utilize her
instruments to make her observations.
In spite of the assault, the First Keeper managed to
steal the baby daughter and take Zahaa with her as
she was escorted to Kamsa. The First Keeper trained
her niece in the trenches to take over the reigns of
Akvos and taught her how to find her chosen half.
When she was old enough, The First Keeper returned
with her from the trenches but was set on fire by the
Akvaans and died a tragic death. Zahaa escaped and
found her twin flame, a Vata from a rival star system,
eventually building her army and brining Vina to peace
with a new world order - the order of the twin-flames.
Towards the end of her reign, Zahaa discovered other findings of her aunt hidden
away by the old leaders - the heptagon of the seven twin-flame pairs and so on, eventually
17
forming ‘The Keepers’, a council of five women designated to study and uncover the secrets
of the Twin-Flame System and guard the age-old tradition for posterity. With more
observations and discoveries, the Twin-Flame Tradition eventually evolved to recognize that
seven pairs of twin-flames are born every 111 years and with proper training and upbringing
they could lead to a better society.
As these findings proved more and more accurate, the systems around the tradition
flourished to include various antics such as the infamous ‘Trench Escape’ where the seven
twin-flames would be taken into the trenches as children to compete with each other and
escape the horrors of the trenches. [Note to self: This last part seems dangerously similar to
Hunger Games. Why did that happen? Rethink what this is.]
Today, the twin-flame tradition
remains largely as a political artefact, on occasion exploited for the petty indulgences of the
public, its true importance taken for granted and forgotten.

parents have survived his birth and as such is
considered very lucky for the future of Akvos. He is
a warrior, expertly trained in martial arts and
psychological warfare. He is hard on the outside
and soft on the inside. Spiritually advanced than
most of his peers, he fell in love with Meera long
before he met her. Like Meera, he has a strong

21
Name: Triya Age: 24 Gender: Male
Occupation: Queen
Background: Triya is the current queen of Akvos. She is
the 1110th generation twin-flame and has ruled
prosperously for a long time. She dismantled wars and
battles long before they could even take place.
Renowned for her diplomatic strategies and ruthless politics, Triya is feared and respected
throughout the Kindred of Light for irrevocably upholding the tradition and making great
material, intellectual and spiritual progress during her time. She is tasked with training and
preparing the twin-flame hepta for the battle of coronation of the 1111th pair of flames, the

10. ALLIES AND ENEMIES
Akvaans are in general a neutral, diplomatic and friendly civilisation. They are highly
skilled in psychological warfare and as a result do not have many enemies or so they think.
The Akvaans have turned foes into friends on many occasions. Due to their spiritual prowess,
the Akvaans are also able to ward off and shield their cluster from the dark forces such as
atmospheric beasts lurking in the corners of the constellation.

AN OUTLINE FOR THE DRIVING PLATFORM - AUDIO DRAMA / PODCAST
The Driving Platform for the story is an Episodic, Fictional Audio Drama played across
3 seasons with 11 episodes each, with an average episode being 45 minutes long.
The main benefit of the story being told in an audio format is that it is both easy to
produce and finance. Audio narratives encourage imagination and the story is as powerful as
the receiver’s ability to imagine. Since esoteric beliefs and occurrences are largely
experiential, there are only conjectures of what different beings and things in this world look
like. In Flames, we plan to keep this quality intact and build upon it - allowing for different
interpretations and imaginative, visual versions of the world.
The universe of the main story draws largely from the starseeds mythology and
includes humans such as indigos, crystals etc from the real-world ‘Galactic Federation of
Light’. The Interactive Elements within the project therefore are a other-sensory extension of
the audio drama, inviting and encouraging fans to participate and create their renderings of
26
the story and storyworld. This is largely based engagement both via social media as well as
live events hosted at periodic
STORY ARC FOR THE PODCAST SERIES
When Meera is severely injured and falls in love with Shiv, an earthly human and
refuses to marry Kanha, thereby refusing her ‘destiny’, she creates an uproar in the Kindred
putting entire civilisations at risk.
This story is about forging your own destiny against the
status quo, identifying and unraveling prejudices even in the most advanced of civilisations
and shattering the old world to form a new one.
For centuries, the star cluster of Akvos has upheld the tradition of the twin flame
union. Akvaans are innovators, logicians and scientists. They have figured out how to
calculate their destinies and for centuries they have ensured sound social, psychological and
political marriages, diplomacies and relationships. However, recently calculations and
predictions have been failing due to mysterious reasons and the leaders of the community
are struggling to safeguard their ancient secrets. When Meera decides to bring in a human,
this conflict is pushed over the edge.

homeplanet a special team is being prepared to bring her back.
LEAD-IN & LEAD-OUT FOR THE PODCAST: ITS INTERACTIVE COMPONENTS &
LEVEL OF INTERACTIVITY
An episode will be released every week during the active season timeline on a
Monday at 11:11 am. Apart from being able to like and comment on the episode itself at
specific timecodes, a strategy surrounding the episode will be applied to increase the level of
engagement with the episode. The lead-in and lead-out for each episode will be largely
structured around a social media campaign spanning across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter,
Tumblr and Starseed Forums. The lead-in and lead-out for each season is structured around
Live Events, Online Tournaments and Release of Special Edition Collectibles.
THE LEAD-IN for the first episode of every season will begin with a youtube teaser
shared with ‘shareable’ hashtags. These hashtags will be interspersed across social media
29
channels with each one carrying a specific type of story or information, Instagram for
instance would carry posters for the upcoming release along with Listicle Posts such as “10
most famous twin-flames of all time”, Twitter would carry a 48 hour campaign that
encourages people to share their twin flame story in the limited character offering, Tumblr
would carry a memes campaign that interconnect various pop-culture references to the
story and the storyworld and Starseed Forums would carry blog posts delineating the
ephemeral nature of Akvos and the philosophy of the twin-flame system as it exists in Akvos.
THE LEAD-OUT for the first and the subsequent episodes would primarily be an
‘exclamatory question’ that needs to and can be answered in multiple ways. This question
inseparable from the hashtag would essentially emerge from the cliffhanger at the end of
the episode. Fans will again be invited across the various channels to share, like, dislike,
approve, disapprove and give their opinions or pieces of mind to the overall conversation of
the story and storyworld. These fan theories, acceptances and rejections will be
acknowledged and accommodated in various ways into subsequent storylines without
compromising the integrity of the narrative and the narrative universe. Another point of
engagement will be ‘listen carefully’ contests which reward the participants to find hidden
clues within the sounds of the story, an audio equivalent of ‘Where’s Waldo?’
BLUE SKY
The Best Case Scenario for this story and storyworld would be to transcend the
medium of Audio and permeate a 3D feature film or as a VR Narrative, with its extended
subcultures developing on graphic novels and walking experiences through the
soundscapes of Akvos.
30
PRACTICAL
The Optimum Scenario for this story to flourish successfully would be a consistent
production and reception of a popular audio fiction series that exploits the free-moving
media surrounding the driving platform.
AUDIO STYLE
The basic audio style in Flames is intended to ride along the mystical-magical themes
of the storyworld. Specific theme tracks will be used to identify the arrival of different
characters or locations. The sound tapestry will be an orchestral mix of percussion and
acoustic instruments. Overall, the sound will have almost a meditative, trance feel to it and
try to showcase the passive-aggressive conflict of the story within that. The music that will be
largely electronic will borrow from european classical music with an overlay of traditional
South Asian themes. Comparative Contemporary Music Composers: Hans Zimmer, AR
Rahman, MM Keeravani
EMOTIONAL JOURNEY
Even in feature films, audio largely controls the emotional arc of the audience. The
sound score in the story will be carefully stringed together to control and direct different
emotional responses throughout the play, so as to carry listeners across the episodic journey,
as authentically as possible without resorting to suggestive tropes.
SOUND EFFECTS
Different variations in electronic sound themes will be used to recreate a familiar
magical-like atmosphere but that differentiates the alien, other-planetary presence. Sound
functions more intensely in Akvos where a lot of planetary systems have dense air. Akvaans
31
speak at a lower wavelength than humans. This effect and others such as different types of
flights of different winged creatures will be conveyed through electronic sound mixing.
DIALOGUE
A maximum of four, extremely distinct voices will exist in a scene. In most cases, the
number of voices is likely to be two to three. Sampling of voices from different voice-actors
will
be conducted during the pre-production phase. Additionally, voice overs will be
overlayed to carryout the narration or exposition.
STORY STRUCTURE
The script will follow the IV Act structure with fade-outs and silence strategically
placed in the breaks so as to not break the narrative mood when sponsor ads are introduced
in the breaks. Apart from this, the story will have an Opening Soundtrack and an End
Soundtrack interspersed with production credits. Ideally, elements such as Fade-in &
Fade-out & prolonged silence will be used to setup conflict and maintain the buildup.
PRODUCTION PROCESS
The overall audio will have 3 different components - Music, Sound Effects and Voice,
each of which will be recorded, sampled, combined and refined depending on the
post-production process.
LEVELS, QUALITY & PAN
While most of the audio play will maintain more or less the same level, different
elements of noise may be used to warp the sound quality in order to create audio effects that
play with the listener’s ear. Additionally, Panning will be used to create a 360 atmosphere to
whatever extent possible, making the atmosphere and dialogue scenes as immersive as
possible.

THE DRIVING PLATFORM
The story of Flames opens in an audio-drama released every week on Mondays,
beginning its first season in the Fall of 2018, which will last for 11 episodes, each of
approximately 45 minutes in length. The subsequent seasons are released on a similar
timeline in the following years of 2019 and 2020. The audio drama in and of itself will
encourage different elements of interactivity in the following ways:
●
●
●
Sharing Comments at specific moments on the Timecode
Sharing ‘Feelings’/’Emojis’ on the Timecode
Acknowledging and Incorporating fan fiction and feedback from previous episodes
into the subsequent storylines, as seen fit without hindering the main plotline.
THE SECONDARY PLATFORMS
The secondary platform includes timelined social media campaigns, youtube teasers,
well-structured interactive website to encourage fan-fiction, a storytelling-based board
game, a potential visual encyclopedia of the storyworld and micro-narratives and/or short
form fiction on social media channels.
THE TERTIARY PLATFORMS
The tertiary platforms will include installation art, live events, fashion wear and
collectibles from the storyworld that act as visual cues.
LINK BETWEEN TERTIARY, PRIMARY & SECONDARY PLATFORMS
The primary and secondary platforms link to the tertiary platforms largely through the
narrative mythology of the storyworld. Components such as installation art, fashion wear and
collectibles transplant the ethos and pathos of the storyverse through the memories and
emotional associations evoked by the objects. In other components such as the live event,
34
the translation is more direct involving narrative in varying degrees through LARPing,
Cosplays, Board Games and other forms of narrative-adjacent play, all of which inevitably
contain an overriding sense of a meta-narrative.
EPISODIC LEAD-IN AND LEAD-OUT
[Note: This is also part of Driving Platform Outline Document and has been included here for easy
reference to the Superstructure Roll-out below]
THE LEAD-IN for the first episode of every season will begin with a youtube teaser
shared with ‘shareable’ hashtags. These hashtags will be interspersed across social media
channels with each one carrying a specific type of story or information, Instagram for
instance would carry posters for the upcoming release along with Listicle Posts such as “10
most famous twin-flames of all time”, Twitter would carry a 48 hour campaign that
encourages people to share their twin flame story in the limited character offering, Tumblr
would carry a memes campaign that interconnect various pop-culture references to the
story and the storyworld and Starseed Forums would carry blog posts delineating the
ephemeral nature of Akvos and the philosophy of the twin-flame system as it exists in Akvos.
Another point of engagement could be ‘listen carefully’ contests
which reward the participants to find hidden clues within the sounds of the story, an audio
equivalent of ‘Where’s Waldo?’

SECTION 4
INTERACTIVE BUSINESS PLAN
AUDIENCE SEGMENTS (PSYCHOGRAPHIC) :
The audience for Flames will be typically 22 - 35 year olds, skew female and is most likely
going to be very niche.
- Self-Identified Starseeds: One segment would be the small portion of the internet
that is into esoteric mythology and identify themselves as starseeds, indigos, twin
flames etc. This is the lead-in audience that the content will first be introduced to and
will help disseminate the story and storyworld to their adjacent audience i.e. Fantasy
lovers.
- Fantasy & Extraterrestial Fiction Fans: This segment will find the story through
word-of-mouth, social media and online forums and will be largely interested in the
storyworld. They will help build and maintain the world via the official website and
wiki and also engage in content creation through fan fiction and fan art.
- Skeptics: This small segment will hangout in the forums but are skeptical of the
whole starseed-twin flame theory and actively reject esoteric beliefs. They will
definitely engage with the storyworld, deconstruct it and shed light on themes and
story structures that are otherwise not easily visible. They will be engaged through
“story-offs” or online debates that will take place on instagram where they can create
and share instagram stories with specific hashtags and these polarized arguments
could then be compiled to exist on the website.
- Podcast Regulars: A huge chunk of audience that is on the lookout for fresh audio
content having good story and good quality.

STORY DRIVERS :
Power / primary
Meera, the protagonist’s primary motivation in the story is to gain control over her own life
and destiny. Her quest for Power is a quest for Freedom to make her own life choices that are
not bound to societal pressures.
The lack of Power is precisely what drives Meera’s bigger
choices in the narrative. Not everybody can relate to the power struggles that exist in
politically arranged marriage, but everyone relates to the fundamental human need for
freedom of life choice. Within the audio narrative, the listener is empowered through
empathy towards Meera and her courage to do what she believes is right and necessary for
her. The listeners acquire their own sense of power through Meera’s self-empowerment. The
other platforms within the transmedia narrative enable Power in the audience through
acquiring significant objects, winning games and contests and sharing stories that empower
them.
Love / secondary
Love is the second most important factor that governs the events in Meera’s life. Her love for
her tribe, her conflicted love for Kanha and her romantic love for Shiv drive her external
priorities and at the same time, are also responsible for her inner conflicts and indecisiveness.
These conflicts that are rooted in Love are timeless and universal. Every being recognizes the
need to love and be loved. This story driver cuts through the primary story and easily
disseminates into finding meaningful connections with those who have shared the same
experiences as us. We inevitably seek them out - online or in real life. Such connection nodes
within the multiplatform narrative are the FanFiction Site, Shared live events such as games
and celebrations and Campaigns (social or monetary) that the fans contribute to, for
emotional satisfaction.

Why This? Why Now? Why Me?
I have found that a fictional storyworld is the most incredible and
fertile space to examine ideas and test philosophies.
To challenge our prejudices and perceptions of humanity.
I am invested in storyworlds that defy earthly laws and yet
somehow allow us to discover more about ourselves.
The idea of Feminine Power and the enormity of being a Woman
is one of the worlds I live in.
And Now is always the best time to explore something like that.
THANK YOU.
