ST PAULʼS ANGLICAN GRAMMAR SCHOOL
Why St Paul’s is the school of choice for Gippsland families
At St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School, learning is about more than
just what takes place in the classroom.
Students at St Paul’s are known and highly regarded for their genuine
care and compassion for others and their enthusiasm for all that they
do. Their love for the School is evident in the way they treat each
other, respect their teachers and wholeheartedly contribute to their
wider community.
Having graduates who are such fabulous young people does not
happen by accident. St Paul’s is blessed to have a strong and
supportive parent body, high-quality and committed teachers as well
as students who are fresh and eager to learn. Teachers who are new
to the School often comment that they can “get on with teaching”
rather than having to focus on behaviour management and addressing
students who are disengaged.
When your child joins St Paul’s you can be confi dent that the positive
learning culture at St Paul’s translates to an environment where
teachers can focus on bringing out the best in every child and where
children understand that they are at school to learn. Classrooms
at every level are notable for the focus shown by the students and
enthusiasm for learning that exists.
From the early years right through to Year 12, St Paul’s encourages
a Growth Mindset and an understanding that with the right attitude
anything is possible. Time and time again the School’s most successful
graduates say that while they may not always have been the ‘most
naturally gifted,’ their hard work and determination progressed them
to where they wanted to go.
As a school that seeks to bring out the best in every child, St Paul’s
also offers a wide range of opportunities both inside and outside the
classroom. Students are offered the opportunity and encouragement
to succeed as they engage in an extensive co-curricular program of
sporting, music, performing arts, personal development, outdoor
education, visual arts and cultural activities along with many
opportunities for academic enrichment and support as necessary.
In addition, secondary students have numerous opportunities to
experience the world. Current programs include service tours to
Rwanda, East Timor and South East Asia, and cultural study tours to
Japan, France and China.
The Elite Sports Performers Program offered at St Paul’s from Years
7 to 12 currently assists over 60 student athletes to achieve their
sporting dreams while supporting them to achieve at school. The
program provides students with opportunities to develop their sporting
abilities through the involvement of Elite Athlete guest speakers,
sessions with staff from
the Victorian Institute of
Sport, biannual ‘behind
the scenes’ AIS Camp
and online monitoring of
student athlete wellness
and stress levels.
Teachers at St Paul’s
understand what it
takes to have a student
achieve all of which he
or she is capable. As a
consequence, St Paul’s
has a proven track record
for VCE excellence and an outstanding record of Tertiary placement
for all VCE students regardless of their ATAR score or area of interest.
St Paul’s was started by local families as a community initiative, was
nurtured by local families and is now very proud to be one of the
leading schools in Regional Australia.
