JOHN PAUL COLLEGE
John Paul College aims to be a centre of excellence and inspiration
within the community. Students are encouraged to be motivated and
passionate about both their learning and their community involvement.
The College aims to challenge students; to inspire them to achieve, to
be all that they can be and to take advantage of the many opportunities
available. Students can be involved in a whole array of sports as well
as taking part in debating, public speaking, community service, youth
ministry, social justice, theatre sports, chess club and performing arts
activities.
JPC’s first class facilities include a modern and well-appointed
Resource Centre and its Food Technology Centre and Science
laboratories are state of the art. The Ngargee Centre for Performing
and Visual Arts is a beautiful space; comprising modern facilities for
music, drama, dance, media and fine arts.
Social justice initiatives are flourishing through fundraising efforts
and immersion programs to the Philippines and East Timor. Students
willingly volunteer on a number of initiatives and the College is very
proud of its young people who, in their service to others, enrich both
their own lives and those around them.
John Paul College aims to build minds that will thrive in our increasingly
interconnected world. Flexible technology and a diverse curriculum
allow each individual student to gain the tools necessary for them
to succeed. Mirroring the functional interdependence of the world
today, JPC is working towards cross-curricular projects. For example,
a drone might be built in Product Design, programmed as part of
Digital Technologies and flown as part of Media/Art assignments.
JPC aims to give students the knowledge, skills and attributes they
will need to flourish in life, learning and work. JPC educates students
to be independent, creative and active citizens with the concern for
other people and society as a whole.
