My father founded Astel in 1992 and started with building 

wooden garden houses. Since then, we have constantly 

expanded our product range and knowledge base, sought new 

markets and acquired additional ventures to follow our goal 

of constant growth. Increasing demand means that, more than 

ever, we need to increase our production capacity, especially 

for the mass production of garden houses. 

Our success comes partly down to luck and intuition, but most 

of all, to our great team. We have excellent experience in 

project management and efficient customer support. 

The advantage of producing wooden houses in Estonia is that 

we can provide high quality at a reasonable price. With a highly 

qualified workforce and decades worth of competence, we are

Astel’s main area of expertise is manufacturing products 

made of timber, such as garden houses, sheds, holiday houses, 

garages, carports, saunas etc. We develop, design, produce 

and deliver buildings all over the world. 

Our two factories in Räpina have a production area of 8000m², and our production 

complex in Rakvere has over 6000m² of indoor production space. In addition to 

structures themselves, we also produce the windows, doors, terraces, stairs, and 

barriers for our various products.

range of different products, we are flexible – most of our products are custommade 

according to our clients’ blueprints. We can also adapt our pre-existing products

As a wooden house manufacturer with considerable experience, we take the quality 

of our buildings very seriously. We use the best available materials to create 

our products. One of them is Nordic spruce, which is carefully selected from our 

FSC-certified partners.

NORDIC TIMBER 

LOG HOUSES 

The slow-growing Nordic timber is one of the best building 

materials in the world. Our spruces and pines have survived 

the harsh Nordic climate to become a strong and durable 

building material. It is also one of the most sustainable construction 

materials. 

We are proud to make ecologically friendly and reliable 

wooden houses from this unique construction material. Our 

timber log houses are warm. They breathe and regulate their 

interior climate to create a pleasant living environment.

We manufacture timber log houses according to the needs 

and wishes of our clients – we make traditional squared log 

houses, private houses, summer houses, forest cottages, garden 

houses, and more.


We have a range of house models 

available, but we also manufacture houses 

according to the designs of our clients 

Our house factory in Rakvere produces timber and glued laminated timber 

houses. For that we have four production lines and two fully automatic Hundegger 

K2 CNC work benches, which are used for producing wall and ceiling 

components. As we create glulam beams in our factory, we are able to produce 

wall beams and roof trusses up to 12 meters long and 150 mm thick.

In addition to the main constructions, we also manufacture all of our doors, windows, stairs and railings. 

As we take customer satisfaction very seriously, we have standardized as many of the production processes 

as possible. Astel Group has ISO 9001 certificate for our quality management system and FSC 

certificate for sales and production of garden houses.

BARREL SAUNAS 

THE PROFESSIONAL & FUN OF WORKING. 

Estonians love a good sauna. In order to share our love for 

saunas with the rest of the world, we are happy to provide 

barrel saunas, which make for a unique feature in any garden. 

The barrel shape helps distribute steam and heat evenly 

throughout the room, providing a pleasurable experience for 

everyone regardless of their position in the sauna, and helping 

the sauna heat up more quickly. 

We produce barrel saunas of different sizes and features – 

with one room or with an additional changing room, terraces, 

glass back walls to enjoy surrounding nature, etc. Our saunas 

can be manufactured for 2, 4, 6 or more people.

BARREL SAUNAS 

The barrel design is simple but effective, providing the maximal amount 

of room with a minimal footprint.

We make both barrel saunas for permanent installation, and mobile barrel saunas which can be transported 

from location to location relatively easily. 

A barrel sauna needs no foundation and no building permit – it only needs some blocks, a concrete pad 

or a similar, and strong and level structure beneath the cradles. 

Our barrel saunas are exported as installation kits with all the necessary materials, fixings and manuals 

included for quick and trouble-free installation.

Our range of pavilions and gazebos covers different styles depending 

customer preferences.

We can create pavilions with custom layouts, various numbers of windows, or other changes, 

to seamlessly fit into any garden. 

We create pavilions of different shapes and 

sizes – with 4, 6 or 8 corners, and with different 

capacities. 

We gladly manufacture custom layout for our wholesale customers from their own blueprints. 

Pavilions, although simple structures, need to be well-made in order to be safe and stand the 

test of time. At Astel we take even the smallest jobs very seriously because we value quality 

and Nordic craftsmanship highly.


GARAGES AND CARPORTS 

A car lasts longer when it is protected from the elements. Excessive exposure 

to the sun, ice, snow, hail and flying debris can harm a car, sometimes 

beyond repair. In order to protect cars from the perils of nature, we 

have a selection of timber log carports and garages available. 

Based on client request, we can add additional 

rooms and spaces for power tools, tyres 

and anything else that is best kept secure 

and dry.

type of vehicle being sheltered. Our garage models are suitable and adaptable to store any kind of vehicle, 

including speedboats, trailers and motorbikes. We can also manufacture garages for one or multiple

Astel Group has a wealth of experience not only in producing 

timber log houses, but also prefabricated timber frame 

houses and modular buildings. Timber frame houses are built 

with high quality under controlled factory conditions and 

have been proven to stand the test of time. 

Our prefabricated timber frame houses are built of closed 

and insulated wall elements, which are usually completed in 

the factory from start to finish and assembled on a foundation 

in a matter of days.

Our barrel shaped camping cabins utilize the functional barrel shape to leave a minimal footprint while 

maximizing functionality. The barrels don’t need a complicated foundation, and can be installed on any 

flat surface onto simple foundation blocks or concrete pads. 

The camping cabins come in the form of a flat pack which 

makes them easy to stock them and deliver to end customers. 

For bulk orders, it is possible to create custom packaging and 

order delivery directly to end customers. 

The installation kits include everything from construction materials, doors, windows, and roof shingles

For instance, it is possible to choose between different 

types of windows and doors, or the thickness of roof and 

floor boards, but also to include all the necessary materials 

for both roof and floor insulation.

are produced and packaged in the form of flat pack. 

The kit usually consists of various wooden components 

(floor and roof boards, wall beams, roof beams, fixing 

boards and slats), standard windows and doors (including 

internal doors), as well as ladders or stairs. Insulation is 

usually not included. 

We can provide windows and doors for different types of 

buildings or required thermal resistance and sound resistance. 

Our windows and doors come in a natural wood 

tone and are made from pine or spruce to guarantee the 

highest quality.
