WHAT DOES ABEC STAND FOR?<br />
The Annular Bearing Engineering Committee (ABEC) is a technical committee of the American Bearing Manufacturers Association<br />
(ABMA), the Association of American Rolling Bearings Manufacturers. The ABEC has developed the so-called ABEC (ANSI / ABMA<br />
Standard 20) scale, which defines tolerance classes for the manufacture of ball bearings. The corresponding ISO standard is ISO<br />
492.<br />
The tolerance classes of the ABEC scale are indicated by ascending designations ABEC 1, ABEC 3 etc. The quality of the warehouse<br />
increases accordingly with the ABEC degree.<br />
In the general public, the ABEC scale is known primarily as a quality feature for the ball bearings of waveboards, inline skates,<br />
skateboards, kickboards, longboards and fidget spinners.<br />
