ITALIAN PADEL
ITALIAN PADEL
FROM FORGIAFER'S COMPANY CONVERSIOS
TO THE SPORT OF THE FUTURE
ITALIAN PADEL's history dates back to 2016 when - after seeing the great of
potential of Padel as the sport of the future both in Italy and across the globe -
Claudio Galuppini decided to make the most of his twenty-years experience in
the company he had managed to create a new Research and Development
department striving towards building Padel Courts.
Thus ITALIAN PADEL's production capacity is guaranteed by FORGIAFER - an
Italian top player when it comes to manufacturing standardized gates - and it is
capable of building 1000 courts per year.
In just three years, this has turned ITALIAN PADEL into a force to be reckoned
with among Padel courts building giants worldwide.
Gaining acclamation for our courts from international players and trainers alike
as a guarantee of high playability, class, quality and safety is the thing we take
most pride in. As a matter of fact, ITALIAN PADEL, is the only European Padel
court builder to have been awarded the CE MARKING, compulsory in all
European countries.
INVESTING IN PADEL
Padel tennis is rapidly picking ground as a sport in Italy and worldwide.
The last 15 years have recorded an exponential growth in terms of number of
courts, players and rackets sold.
Currently, the game is played in 57 Countries and counts around 14 million
players worldwide. The FIP and the World Padel Tour have joined forces to
make Padel an Olympic sport.
Why is Padel so popular?
Besides being a sport, Padel is also an easy to learn, dynamic and social
game. It is suitable both for demanding tournaments and recreational times.
That is why it is considered an activity that befits all:
sportsmen/sportswomen, amateurs, adults, children, hobby and corporate
team building activity.
BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
Despite the construction costs being considerably lower Padel court offers
higher income as compared to other similar activities. Furthermore, all one
needs ia 300m² land parcel for constructing a Padel court as compared to
the 650 m² one needed for a tennis court.
6 KEY POINTS FOR A PADEL COURT
Now that you know about the potential of Padel, we would like to share a few tips on
how to start your activity off with the right foot.
1 Documents and permits
2
3
4
Platforms and Perimeter edgings
CE MARKING
Risks
5 Quality
6
Insurance and Assistance
1
Documents and Permits
First, you need to contact the competent authorities to apply for permits that allow to
build Padel courts in the land parcel or facility of choice. You need to construct
containment beams which will hold the structure and the platform based on the
required calculations depending on the site. These include the resistance of the soil,
geologic and seismic features, presence of wind, etc.
2
Platform and Perimeter edging
The second step towards correctly building a court lies in preparing a platform and
perimeter edging, in compliance with the regulations and characteristics required by the
project.
Caution! These works must not have any imperfections such as depressions and/or
bumps that could create construction problems or alter the bouncing of the ball.
6
13

3
CE MARKING
The letters 'CE' signify that products sold in the EEA have been assessed to meet high safety, health,
and environmental protection requirements.
The CE Marking is compulsory and designated by the EU regulation n°305/2011 for the construction of metal structures. The CE
marking allows an at least 10-years guaranteed and compulsory durability of the structural parts.
Never compromise on courts bearing the CE Marking!
Fixing the CE Marking is the last step towards the correct building of a court. This certifies that the
product on which it is fixed was built in compliance with all regulations in force in their field of use.
TAKE NO CHANCES!
14
9

4
Risks
The liabilities of a manager and/or owner go beyond constructing a court. They actually continue over the entire life cycle of a
court which should last at least 15/20 years.
5 Quality
Our Mission, as ITALIAN PADEL, is to build a court that lasts over 20 years.
This our why trainers and players subject our products to accurte tests and analysis. Besides the CE Marking, we offer
products that have passed a 1000-hour in salt spray test, anti-abrasion profiles, anti-rust welding, full galvanization.
WHAT WE OFFER
WHAT WE AVOID
15

Glass Quality
Awareness to prevent
The Italian regulation requires guarantee of resistance against the horizontal thrust equal to 3 KN/m² on use tempered glass
slabs in public facilities.
This is why we use 12 mm-thick glasses only, which offer greater resistance as compared to the 10 mm-thick glasses still used
in many courts. Another advantage of 12 mm-thick glasses lies in the enhanced playability.
And if you are wondering how you can possibly prevent a tempered glass from breaking, the answer is the STRATIFIED GLASS.
Currently, TALIAN PADEL, is the only court constructor in a position to offer this possibility.
6 Assistance and Insurance
As concerns the metal structure, in Italy, constructors are required to meet the UNI EN 1090 obligations which require, among
other specifications, recording and traceability of the products used and a product third party insurance cover.
Constructing courts in compliance with the laws and regulations will cost the facility a few extra thousands of Euros but the
owner or manager will be exempted from any civil and criminal liability arising from any damaging event that could occur over
the years.
All facilities will need periodic maintenance and assistance.
Having the possibility to take timely action and ready prompt availability of spare parts is a considerable advantage.
