In addition to heavy-duty connectors, RockStar ® also includes functional and
safety accessories – including crimp contacts, coding systems and shield clamps
– to help you with your facility cabling.
A technically proper crimp connection should be gas-tight and corrosion-resistant.
Machined crimp contacts are available with different performance requirements
and with either silver or gold plating.
When aligning multiple connectors with similar mating profiles within one facility,
you must safeguard against accidental plugging mistakes. The RockStar ® product
line also includes the corresponding locking pins, coding systems and pole coding
for this purpose.
If multiple shielded cables are being fed into the connector housing using
a flexible hose or a multi-cable feed, then the shielding should normally be
connected to a shield clamp attached to an insert. The potential
is conducted to the housing using the metallic transition.
The shielded conductor is fastened to the shield clamp
with shield clips, which are available in a variety of sizes.
