Compensating elements Compensation elements - Stainless steel - DAE The DAE pressure-compensation element provides good ventilation for the enclosure and prevents moisture build-up. At the same time it maintains the high IP69k protection level. The membrane repels water and oil. Ex - Compensating elements Breather drains – Klippon ® BDX ~ r T <strong>Cable</strong> entries The BDX compensating element is used for ventilating the enclosure and preventing a build up of moisture, particularly in Ex applications. 5 Thread Ø * Thread Technical data Material Stainless steel 1.4404 (316L) or brass CuZnPb (CZ121) IP class IP66 Impact resistance 20 J Filter sintered bronze Flow rate 0.25 Litres per hour Sealing ring silicone O-ring Temperature range -60 °C to +200 °C Plating natural Torque 10 Nm Note - The breather-drain is only to be fitted on the bottom side of the enclosure, aligned vertically with the thread upwards, and at the lowest point to permit proper drainage. - Fully assembly instructions are supplied with the breather drain. The instructions must be read prior to installation and adhered to in full. - The water flow rate has been tested by a water filled empty enclosure (no pressure or heat producing internal components). The water flow rate can slightly differ by influences from operational parameter and environmental conditions.
