All of the youth and ladies teams season’s are well under way, most are
doing well. We received some outstanding news recently, last season’s
Darlaston U14’s Warriors were crowned joint Walsall Junior Football
League Division One Champions. The delay was caused by an outstanding
disciplinary issue held over from last season leaving champions elect
Tipton Youth in third place after points were not awarded for a fixture.
Congratulations must go to Jamie Taylor, his management team and the
lads for their amazing achievement and bring the club their first ever
youth trophy, yet another chapter in our history has now started.
So proud of how you have all come into the Darlaston family and made us
all grow and develop. Our club is a force to be reckoned with on and off
the pitch and you all are part of that bigger picture.
I think over the next few months we have a load of home games, so lots
of pieces to write, so I will have to think of running a competition or
something to keep you all entertained. For now I leave you with this plea
to get involved with the poppy appeal be that with your children/
grandchildren or by making rain proof poppies we can use in the club’s
donation for our community's event.
